Support Fan Fiction! · 8:45pm Dec 27th, 2013

Hey, all! So, my friend and yours CouchCrusader, has begun a series of posts over on EqD, trying to get fan fiction a bit more recognition. I wholly support this idea; I think fan fiction is the unsung hero of this fandom. As such, he is asking us all to chip in.

How can you? Simple! Head over to this link and leave a comment with links to your favorite stories! Here's an example of how I did mine.

Com on, people, let's support our medium!

Aw, Jake, your reply borked up.

Thanks for the plug all the same! Really hoping this takes off and lets readers feel a bit more engaged with how fic gets handled with EqD.

Ackies! Fixed. And yeah, fan fiction needs more appreciation. I think this could be a good way of getting lesser-known fics out there. Thanks for spearheading.:ajsmug:

I'd also add that, while stories like Eternal, On a Cross and Arrow, and Past Sins (for example) are pillars of the fandom, they don't really need more promotion. This is an ideal opportunity to plug lesser-known stuff that might otherwise slip between the cracks.

Yeah, fics that the Nazis like 1653700 won't let on.\

Er, I... I-I mean, um... shit...

The trick lies in getting those people laying down recommendations to engage in a little cross talk with each other as well! Saw a couple of threads where that was going on, so I'm optimistic about what'll happen when next month's post goes live.

Fan fiction needs to be famous :fluttercry:
We have extreme talent over here that isnt appreciated enough

Oh and congrats to you Couch you are a hero :pinkiehappy:

This is a brilliant idea and I wholly support this!

Is that cover approved by your command?

Huza!
This kind of thing makes me happy. I really enjoy it when people/communities do things like this to support each other.
