Do you guys understand the magnitude of notifications I get every day?
Chances are, if I followed you, I have most likely viewed your story. Cannot make promises 100%, but I probably saw it on the front page or when I went to visit your profile.

The answer is no. I do not show favoritism on this account. If you want to see what stories are my favorites, look at my other account (link listed in bio). At most, I may leave an upvote and a comment saying I did so on your story that I really liked.
If I found it needs work, and I have time to write a suggestion/edit the first paragraph(s), then I will do it. If not, just ask me instead of acting (or actually being) desperate.

Clearly their technique to get something read is vastly flawed. Now I understand if a story was reletively old (lack of updates therefore only referance is in groups and the ALMIGHTY SEARCH BAR!) or even new for that matter if they want their fic to be a hit.
Whinning isn't going to get anywhere and people will notice them for the wrong reasons. Someone favourites something usually because they like reading it. Most fics out there are very well written and sadly very underappreciated, so to those who ask people to favourite 'just because', remember that hard work itself will bring it's own rewards in time.
So instead of Please please please gimme fav why not, I've been writing a story about *blah blah blah* I was wondering if anyone was interested in reading it and telling me what they think?
Just so we're clear, I will NEVER be able to get away with that for my main 180k word fic
