The ancestors of he apple family were stars, specifically, stars that got knocked loose from the sky a thousand years ago when Nightmare Moon happened and knocked the sky all off kilter. The stars that didn't land on people's houses and explode turned into ponies. Since these ponies were use to wandering the trackless vast of the sky for untold eons, they didn't take well to settling in one place, and ended up becoming the wandering wagon ponies Celestia prodded into founding Ponyville nine hundred years later.
These days, shooting stars aren't so much crash landing as they are dipping into the upper limit of the atmosphere as they search for their long lost cousins. As for Ma and Pa Apple, they didn't actually die. They just went home, but they still do drop by to keep an eye on the old farm.

I can't eat too much of the Doritos or Cheetos or other such things. Not even Bacon or Pepperoni. Too much and I get sick in the crappiest way possible. First, I get all ugh and can't move right. Then comes the bullshit pain in my head, that gets bigger as time goes on. Also, if you're like me, Tylenol only makes it worse. After the migraine, if I weren't smart to get in the bathroom during the my grains, then I'll start puking all over the place, like if a Spitter and a Boomer had a baby that had twice their powers.
