The edge of Equestria was never something I thought I would see. The soft green grass turned to blackened soot over two lengths like, like we just reached the line at the edge of a map.
Here there be dragons.
“Say your goodbyes. This is the last we will see of green fields and fair skies,” the mistress tells us. She and the earth ponies lean down and eat some of the grass. They lay down in the field and close their eyes.
I can’t really say what they were saying goodbye to. It’s not like we’re leaving the earth or anything like that. There’s even some plants over the border, they’re just a bit singed.
The princess leaves her crown with one of the chariots while the farmer converts another into a supply cart. Morning Star tries to tell him to leave both harnesses on so he can help pull it and we finally get to hear the farmer speak.
“Nope.”
Wasn’t that exciting.

A question of grammar: should sarcastically saying "wasn't that exciting" merit a question mark or not? I think not but I could very easily be wrong about that.

No question mark, it flows better as a statemnet. Nice one, by the way...this is a lot of fun!
Has Luna turned into Zecora without me noticing?
Hahaha!

Nah, she's Zecora's great-...-grandmother.
If it's sarcastic it needs a question mark. There's an implied 'it' in there, and whether there's a question mark or period determines where it is. Writing it out the long way would be one of the two below:
'It was not exciting.'
Or
'Was it not exciting?'
And clearly you can't use the top one if you're attempting sarcasm.
That's pretty much all they can hope to hear from Big Mac, I think.
It just goes to show that the tribes don't really understand each other. The earth ponies (and, by extension, an alicorn, who has an earth pony's powers) are so bound to fertile and living earth that being cut off from that is discomforting. However, to a unicorn, pegasi or nocturne, the concept is difficult to understand.
