Some strange new ponies have been arriving in Ponyville lately. This story describes how they settle into their new lives and find their places within the community.
This is my Equestria. Everything I write in my other MLP stories will tie into this story in some way.
Note: Some of these ponies of mine are based on human characters. For this reason, I will leave their back stories somewhat vague and simply give the impression that they don't want to share all their secrets. I am also *considering* (though nothing's set in stone yet) writing some chapters in which these characters return to the human world, possibly dragging their pony friends along with them. Please be patient, as this story was never intended to be fully thought out. It's more of a concept story than anything else.
More things to note: This story contains sexual references, mostly from Pinkie Pie being perverted. (It just seemed to work with her character, okay. xP) It also contains references to events of a “grimdark” nature. Please do not read this story if you are easily offended or don't like dark themes in pony literature.

I had thought about using the same picture as my profile picture, but I decided not to, since that might mislead people to believe that the story is all about Rainshine and Jeffy, when it's actually got so much more to it. -shrugs-

That's a shitload of effort for here.
I'm actually a bit disappointed in this now that I've looked back over it. When I first pictured this scene, the details were a bit different, but I noticed there was a flaw in my logic, so I edited some things and left other things the same.
One of the parts that I edited actually ended up directly affecting how Pinkie Pie behaves in the story and makes her seem a lot more flirtatious than I had originally intended for her to be, thus creating the "instant-crush" that I hate seeing so much in other people's stories. I think I need to go back and re-edit this chapter so that Pinkie doesn't have an instant-crush on Jeffy.
Also, please bear with me until I can get the next chapter uploaded. I have it saved on my laptop, but I am, unfortunately, going to be without said machine for some amount of time (not sure how long). I will be writing additional chapters in the meantime, but I'm afraid I will be unable to upload any of them until I get back my own computer.
