3297569 Thanks for asking! I'm trying to use "Hipponian" as an analogue to our own word "Lesbian" ("hippos" is the Greek word root for horse, and "Lesbian" is from Lesbos, a Greek island). See also previous comment.
Hmm, I remember my drinking "parties" that got to this point, mainly because one of us got aggressive while drunk and the other was a laughing goofball. It's not wise to laugh at an aggressive drunk.
Considering this entire story is dialogue, its very, very well-done. And thank you for not embracing the usual TwiLestia trope. Your reasoning was excellent and puts me more at ease with your writing style. Props.
It's seems like Pinkie's pretty much ended the conversation; you can go on and on about who you'd fuck to save Equestria, but if actually put in that situation, you'd say yes to almost anyone.
3297778 I forgot to drop my earlier response in chapter 2, so you didn't get a notification; I think you'll appreciate 3297960 (direct link).
3299674 Eeyup. To fully understand AJ's baggage, you have to do some reading between the lines.
3303819 You may notice that every time Twilight makes a tally, it's immediately preceded by sipping her salt water …
3304415 Thank you! High praise indeed. As for Twiliestia: a main theme of this story is a cast of characters that hasn't quite come to terms yet with proper adulthood — ponies who on the surface are holding everything together, but for whatever reason can't identify and express and negotiate to get their needs met. Twilight's behavior here is very much in line with that. Traditional Twilestia would have undercut that.
Ironically, this makes Pinkie Pie the most adult of the six. She knows what she wants, is comfortable with it, and approaches it (modulo a few slips) as ethically as she can. There's arguably some baggage in her patient and unrequited pursuit of Dash, but just as arguably she's the only one at the table with no baggage at all.
3306559 You'll be pleased to note that the story makes that exact pivot.
Ever wonder if it also goes in reverse. That Celestia has assumed the role of a motherly authority figure for so long, she has difficulty looking at her little ponies in a sexual way?
6456564 Nicknames like Rares are, but here, "balloons" is being used as a term of endearment, the same way Applejack says "You alright, sugarcube?" You wouldn't say "Oh my gosh, Sugarcube fell down a well!" because it's not a nickname.
Grammar nitpicks aside, thanks for reading, and hope you're enjoying it!
WHAT THE BUCK?!

And also, y'know, the name.
Ahhh alcohol, it does have a tendancy to lead to unconrolable bouts of violence, doesn't it?
Wow, Rarity... that was a backhanded compliment if I ever heard one...
I like this interpretation.
Eeyup.

Wow! Now I know.
and knowing is half the battle.

its funnier because G.I.Joe is also owned by Hasbro.

At this point, I think knowing is half the bottle.
And judging by the end of the chapter, the other half really is violence.
We've talked about this, mate.
This word will come in handy someday. I have much use for this word.
Huh. Thought of this a while back. Still have yet to get it down on paper, though.
I think my only question right now is: What the hell is Twilight tallying? It's something about Pinkie, I think, but beyond that I have no idea.

Need to find a way to use that in everyday conversation...
the hipponian lifestyle?
I searched it, and the only instance of that phrase on THE ENTIRE INTERNET is this story.

Eeyup. See 3297710 and previous discussion.
I really like the nickname balloons.
That escalated quickly.
Ever wonder if it also goes in reverse. That Celestia has assumed the role of a motherly authority figure for so long, she has difficulty looking at her little ponies in a sexual way?
Dash calling Pinkie balloons is absolutely precious.

Thanks! I think so, too.
After two chapters, I gotta note that nicknames should be capped like real names. Shy. AJ. Rares. Balloons.
