I can be perfectly honest when I say I could not be any happier to be disappointed. I thought this would be a clop and I was interested in the friendship dynamic I thought it would ensue. but I am grateful that you made this much more...*struggling with big words* real and not intimate but...*struggling with big word again* invasive maybe? I'm not sure but I really love this story and I think you are an amazing writer and not only am I going to like and track this story but I am also going to start following you and your works
(Just messin' with you. Yeah, I'm aware of the R63. I figured, when the story crosses as many lines as this one does, a name-drop is the least of my worries.)
3307969 Thank you! It means a lot to have you say that I can sell an entirely different story than what you came here for. I went back and forth on whether to submit it with the Sex tag or not; this story straddles the line, and either way it was going to be misleading.
> you made this much more... real and not intimate but... invasive maybe?
I think intimate is the perfect word for it, actually. Intimacy is about casting away the things we wear, stripping down to the exposed and genuine self underneath. It's most often used in the sense of physical intimacy (getting naked for sex), but emotional intimacy is absolutely a thing — setting aside all of the masks and defenses and exposing hidden fears and desires.
This story, of course, is (mostly) about that emotional intimacy gone horribly wrong.
One small thing,
Rarity's magic aura's not white, it's light blue.

It's the single most

Dusk Shine? What's Rule 64 Twilight doing in this universe? And why does he have a book?

Thanks for reading! So to answer your question:
The show has given us both alcohol as an intoxicant AND salt as a intoxicant —

— and in this story, I'm interpreting that to mean that they BOTH get ponies inebriated, but in different ways.
Alcohol is alcohol. Salt, here, is more like marijuana.
