It's really sad that works such as this one are way to often neglected in favor of yet another self-insert or PWP clop story.
Many thanks for this chapter...
It somehow cathartic to see there side
Well this is a bit of emotional whiplash. I guess I'm glad there is some sort of reconciliation between both races but the idea that it's largely ineffective because of the cultural differences being so severe and the pain caused on both sides being near irreparable has a bit of melancholy to it. The back and forth from rage to sympathy just kinda makes me feel sick and drains the hope that these two races could ever truly see eye to eye because of the sheer fear of one another.
But i guess this is one such example of how healing could start. It seems like it would take so many years to get it going on such a scale as the galaxy at large and the thought that the next few centuries would have to be a constant up hill battle against years of fear and propaganda, much less an administrative government fearing reprisal for commiting such attrocities really puts doubt that ponies could see some measure of peace within that administration's life time.
Potential plot holes/spoiler inducing questions:
As a side concern, what about the rest of the races on Equis? The minotaurs in particular seem like they would be a hell of a foil to the saytrs. Is it possible that they all just either died out or left the planet? Would it be possible to imagine that maybe the smaller population races were ferried off world to prevent them from such a fate earlier in the war or did ponies essentially over populate to the point of driving them out or maybe scattering and taking up so many of their race as lovers that they couldn't maintain viable numbers? Are changelings and zebras considered sub species of pony now? Or in this universe, do the other races simply canonically not exist on Equis?

That’s a good question.
The various other species do exist, but as a very small proportion of the population. Zebras had their own independent nation/enclave and wished to stay neutral. The Griffon and Minotaur lands were largely subsumed into the Empire; in fact, an old order of Minotaur artificers are a central component of the Conclave, and are principally responsible for the design and engineering of high-grade bionics and robotics. Twilight Sparkle’s Type-000 “Argus” Oculocycle was a prototype for one of the first bionic eyes ever made, advanced for its time but primitive in the present, and incorporates a great deal of Minotaur tech. Ponies were the dominant species in the Empire and made up a very significant majority of the population on Equestria.
The early formation of the Empire was not a very pleasant process. Without going into too much detail, Twilight Sparkle basically decided that the only way Equestria could resist the Confederacy in any meaningful way would be if she united the whole planet under her banner. This ultimately resulted in much of the globe falling under the sway of ponykind.
This gets into some serious spoiler territory, though.

Neat, I wonder how the cleomany handle them but I'm guessing you might have answers already outlined or at least thought up. With ponies being the chief enemy, the other races would likely be subject to either extermination to suppress the fact that there are other, more "acceptably sentient" races in league with them or perhaps relocated if they show anti-pony sentiment due to past events. Would make for good propaganda if they had proof ponies were subjegating other races under a tyrant long before the final wars.
Plus other races might have similar enough physiology to warrant genetic experimentation for bringing the rest of the galaxy up to those strength and durability standards
Excellent chapter, it's nice to see these two working out there differences. Both Mentally and physically.
I am very interested to see what comes next.
I am well past the point of feeling sorry for a satyr for any reason. The best-case scenario that I see would be the extinction of satyrs, dingoes and all other species that threaten pony-kind. That would be my happy ending.
Where is lucky? He still has the footage from the prison attack
Huh so that's where he was
Huh no wonder they were able to keep lying for hundreds of years during the war
The satyrs lives are shitter then ponies
