Aside from the antiquated use of the double space between sentences, a few missing commas, and that maddening cliffhanger, this story was interesting. You have earned a favorite and a like.
Hopefully, that "Complete" was a mistake and there is more.

Truth be told, that's one reason why I love writing short stories. You know, I agree with you that even I feel like there needs to be some kind "resolution" but I've always valued an open-ended conclusion and not something so static. The best endings, to me, involve the reader wondering what happens next and there's that heavy pulling feeling of wanting to turn the page with no pages left.
But if you like this, I suggest Reciprocity and stay tuned for future works!

Hehe, fair enough. Shock and Awe is a longer story with more "depth". It's still a WIP but you know, if you need something more to chew on that works.
