Vinyl Scratch teleported to Earth by a mechanical accident and found herself in London. She must learn to adjust to her new surroundings and live life as normally as she can.

Notice: I am still working on this project. Leave any mistakes in the comments. I will be updating this as I go.

Again, this is my first work, so please be kind. c:

I can't wait for the next chapter. And as far as I could tell I got so rapped up in the story I couldn't tell if there were any errors. So yea all in all I like this story and I can't wait to see how it all plays out for vinyl.

It's very well written for being your first story. I'd certainly like to see more.

And the populace hasn't shown much curiosity just yet.....strange, but it appears shes only been within the limits of the area for a short time too...lets see where it goes.

What you've done right:

1. Vinyl Scratch
2. Intriguing plot
3. It's a PoE
4. Vinyl Scratch

What you've done wrong:

1. Can't think of anything right now. Good job!

Thank you very much! ^-^

I know London is pretty accepting of the punk crowd and the like...but I wonder why there was a lack of reaction overall to her presence. Not even a animal control threat. (done in a insulting manner to Vinyl)

Yeah, the concept is people just try to avoid her as much as possible. Though, I did slip in some mentions on how people dislike her from what they see.

This story has a nice plot to it, but the grammar really irritates me. May I send you a revised copy of this, fixing a few of the word choices? :pinkiehappy:

threw/through - big difference

I recommend that you start writing with spellcheck and then pasting the text into the story page. It'll catch a lot of small errors like this.

Alright, cool. I'll do that.

YbJ

You keep using the word "threw" incorrectly. The correct word is "through", as in "I drove through the stop sign and got a ticket". "Threw" is the past of "throw", as in "I threw the ticket in the trash".

Also, you are switching between present and past tenses a lot. For example:

"I'm Vinyl Scratch", Vinyl responded (past) happily. Vinyl holds (present) out her hoof for a handshake, or hoofshake.
The man looks (present) down at the hoof and fist bumps it.
"Eh, close enough", Vinyl said (past) as she walked towards the back room.
Her new job has begun. (present perfect)

Try to stay consistent by having the entire story be told in either the past or the present tense, but not both.

"Starting From Scratch" I want to kill you so much because of this pun

@Ybj- Right then, i'll work on that after my finals.

@jiga- I'm assuming that dislike is from you. It's something funny I threw in, it doesn't affect the story in any way.

, and it doesn't*

Guys, i'll be taking a brief hiatus from writing this story. I need time to relax from finals. I'll begin writing this again sometime next week. ^-^

Can't wait good luck with the finals I remember how they can be a drag and take a lot out of you

5395307 I agree, but just tickle u to death to be random

So, in the first paragraph it stated that she had no plce to live, and by the end, she now has an apartment? Was there a time skip, or am I just nitpicking? Ah well, hope this updates soon.

Wowzers in me trousers, it has been over two years since I have been on this site. Quite the hiatus, if you ask me. Looking back at all of these comments talking about my grammatical errors makes me so disappointed at my past self. I seriously couldn't tell the difference between 'through' and 'threw'? Ridiculous! Come on, Bleuv. Oh well, that was two years ago. I just wanted to check in and post something. As of right now I will not be posting any new chapters to this story, as I will be starting university soon. My major is Computer Science and my minor is Chemistry, so it's safe to say I will have a lot of my plate. But hey, maybe sometime I will get bored and write something. Who knows; things constantly change.
