I really like your portrayal of Fluttershy in this chapter. Far too many fans believe sweet little Fluttershy has been taking care of animals all these years while somehow remaining ignorant of how predators act. If any of the main cast understand that nature is "red in tooth and claw" its her.
2942635 Already read it. And Rainbow Factory. And Sweet Apple Massacre. And Jeff the killer. And Knock at the window. And most slender man stories. And Under the Bed (different story), And Ben Drowned. And Liars. And a crap ton of other creepypastas.
I recant my previous statement about the first chapter. It still wasn't scary, but more...creepy. If this thing is strong enough to overpower Big Mac, then the rest of Ponyville is up shits creek without a paddle. I'm not a big fan of your other works, but I'm going to be tracking this baby all the way through.
Horror is easily one of my favorite genres, regardless of the medium. The first chapter was great and could have worked fine as a creepy standalone, but I really like where you're taking it with this chapter. I don't recall you ever writing horror before, so don't be offended when I say I'm not expecting Stephen King quality out of this. However, you have me hooked with these two chapters. I eagerly await the next update.
2941653 If I had scrolled down to read this comment, I wouldn't have had to include my bitching about the giant space in a more recent one. I've actually never seen big spaces like that before, only the use of several lines of ellipses. Even those can be detracting. But I'm an amateur, and my opinion is worth fuck all here anyways.
My first thought was 'Applebloom is a werewolf/werepony(whatever you want to call it) or possessed by something'. And whatever possessed her just took Big Mac(while not possessing her duh).
Hmm.... foal-like and sized demonic monstrosity that can crawl along ceilings and walls, somehow read minds (after all, no one said Big Mac's name near the barn when it started calling to him), and despite it's small stature is very powerful physically. It's victims (so far) have all been adults, and while it causes foals in its vicinity to be absolutely terrified it will not attack them directly (evidenced by the fact that it was apparently in the room with Sweetie Bell and could've easily ripped her apart when it dropped from the ceiling onto her bed as opposed what it really did, which was to let her hide under her bed while it lay in wait under the covers to ambush Rarity).
All in all, not thinking of any monster or demon from world folklore, but interested to see what it truly is down the road. *faves story*
So, I am very torn if I wanna read this or not. So, so torn. On one hand, I'm really not a fan of dark mlp stories, but, this story is by the same author that wrote my favorite story series, Seeing the Pattern. So torn. *wiggles*
*edit* So, I read it, and well, I kind of regret it now. Main reason I'm not a big fan of dark stories is character death, and, not all Dark stories have that. This one, from what I've seen, unfortunately has it. ...so, not faving, but, will be putting on my read later pile, so, I will still check it every now and then.
2943141 He's a hard character to write. For me he's all body language, which is hard to get across in a text format, for a character that speaks so little. Following his train of thought kind of takes over the narrative, otherwise he comes across as a dolt or a zombie with no emotions.
2943119 A friggin' hope not! Then it would be all Sweetie Belle's fault!

I always pick the best time to read these: in a pitch black room, with the dark page coloring, and between 12:00 am and 3:00 am. Great the atmosphere, terrible for my ability to sleep.
2944081 BUCK YOU!!!! It's 2 in the frickin' morning, I was about to go to sleep (yes, after reading this). The story didn't scare me as much as it intrigued me, but that pic scared the s*** outta me! I now doubt my ability to sleep at all!
*gasp*
Master has released new chapter, in less than one hour! Are you not excited?
You need to stop reading so much fanfiction.
Guessing that both Rarity and Big Mac are either dead or in some sort of Pocket Dimension that the strange creature is keeping them in.
That's some creepy shit, hombre
I have a small inkling what the creature might be. Or i could be WAAAYY off.
Okay this is getting really creepy. I'm going back over to HiE because I know Ulquiorra will keep the terrors away.

Welp, who needs sleep anyway?

Pfft.
Cupcakes is baby shit.
Cheerilee's Garden. Now that gave me shivers. I just can't tell if they were from creeps or from...pleasure.
2942660 The hay?
I almost attacked my mom with a flashlight after reading this. She bumped into something in the hallway, and I freaked out.

I love the fuck out of Cheerilee's Garden.

Well....goodbye sleep...hello horrifying demon based nightmares.
Not Big Mac too. What's next? Is Rainbow Dash gonna get dragged off as well?
Holy crap nuggets, That first chapter was genius. I honestly didn't see it coming at all. That could stand as a story all by itself.
This chapter doesn't have the same punch, but it adds to the suspense.
have a favorite star

The terrors don't mess with you period. You paid your dues already, the rest of us likely haven't.
So... did the CMC try to get their 'Creepy Little Demon Summoner' cutie marks or something?
I can't take you writing Bic Mac seriously, not even when he's turned into a bloody mess. I just can't.
Go on...
My first thought was 'Applebloom is a werewolf/werepony(whatever you want to call it) or possessed by something'. And whatever possessed her just took Big Mac(while not possessing her duh).
I dunno. But this is getting interesting.

Let me name a few beings that might be it: A Grudge, a zalgo made monster, or, my mother.
Holy moly.
2942729 sorry about that.... I'll tell my Demon pony to knock it off
2943530
if that's your mother, then I think we might be brothers

Readin' this in the dark
fuck it AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
2943829 Its only just begun.
2943822 Not recommended. I've never written horror before, but I'mma try hard!
2943530 What's a "zalgo?"
2943292 Excellent fact-crunching soldier! I'll have to be careful dropping hints around you!
2943152 Were-Apple! Someone make that a thing!
