With their aircraft shot down over the Everfree Forest, the pilots have to survive an evening in the old castle, fighting off beasts and hoping for rescue.

With the Great War finished, and life returning to normal, Slow Coach Jr. decides, on a Friday night with his Mother, to go play at the park.
Unfortunately for the Colt, things don't go as planned.

It was the year 1015 and the Great War between the Changeling hegemony and the land formerly known as Equestria was finally drawn to a conclusion. While Queen Chrysalis and her fascist dictatorship suffered a devastating defeat, by the time the dust settled after 5 years of bloodshed, a new order rose from the ashes. One that was poised to shake the very foundation of the world.

The immortal Princess Celestia, in her desperation to save her little ponies from the onslaught of the changeling armies, turned to the most ancient source power of Ponykind: Hatred. And while, eons ago, the strife of the three tribes turned the northern part of the continent to a frozen wasteland, her rage turned the princess into the evil incarnation of the sun: Daybreaker. A twisted, cruel, egomaniac, committed to bend the entire continent to her will.

Her little sister Princess Luna tried to ignite a revolution against the tyrannical oppressor, but it was swiftly and mercilessly put down by the battle-hardened veterans of the imperial army. But those who hoped this, if nothing else, ended the bloodshed for the moment, were wrong. 

The self-proclaimed Goddess, caught blindsided by the betrayal of her beloved sister and five out of the six elements of harmony, was enraged and sworn to exact a revenge the likes of which the world had never seen before. After a few targeted assassinations, and a horrifying demonstration of the power of a new class of incendiary, “Napalm” bombs on Ponyville, and she turned her attention to the beloved children of her late sister: The Batponies.

Daybreaker quickly established a new government branch; the Bureau of Genetic Diversity. This hodgepodge of a pseudo-scientific think-tank, an independent and unappealable judiciary, and a secret polive was a thinly vailed attempt to justify, legalise and administrate the genocide of the entire Thestral race. 

And as so many times before in history, science bowed down to politics to create a justification for whatever horrors she wished to unleash upon a nation. In a mere 12 month at least 90 percent of the six million batponies were rounded up, tried and executed. Some of the rest fled the country, but most of them simply disappeared in the carnage as rounding errors. 

Our story happens somewhere in that 12 months, in an unnamed jail somewhere near Vanhoover. Just two ponies in a small room, an Earthpony and a Thestral, a lawyer and a defendant meeting for the first time.

After Opening the country, Queen Novo wanted to share the idyllic paradise of Mount Aris and Seaquestria with the world and so the hippogriffian tourism industry was born. After the first very successful spring months the summer began and with it the tropical rain. While the rain never lasted for too long and was quite the spectacle for some tourist, an approaching hurricane however led to many tourist canceling their vacation in Hippogriffia.

With only a few tourist remaining and the hurricane upon them, many tour guides and hotel staff are left with nothing to do. One of them being Azurmar, a tour guide working on the surface platforms of Seaquestria. During these calm workdays, Azurmar´s mind starts to wander, was she happy with being a tour guide or did she crave for the trill of her last occupation? The Hurricane was starting to dissipate yet Azurmar´s mind was still cloudy.

This story takes place in the Equestria at war universe, which is a mod for the game Hearts of Iron 4.

Bright Comet and Icestar are two young brothers, their parents a miller and a basketweaver they live a peaceful life in their home of Svarpils, hidden somewhere in the Forests and Plains of Vartai, right on a small tributary of the Griffking. They had always protected each other, with Icestar being the older of the two. He was soon to begin taking on more responsability in his fathers craft and learn it, but for now he was still content and able to play with his brother in the forests and fields of Svarpils.

But the world had changed around their idyllic home, and soon they would find out how much it did when death and tragedy struck their village.

This is ONLY a short story, for now. Though I intend to expand more onto the lore and create additional chapters.

Follow the tale of Kitu Elder, a changeling general doing what she can in service of her home and her Queen. A story of, trial, secrets, espionage and carnage all around a young changeling prodigy searching for a higher purpose. From battles with the sworn enemies of Chrysalis and her Empire to the confines of the hives, Kitu Elders life is not without action, if not a lesson to learn.

A young pegasus finds himself facing another defeat in another war. Nearly a decade of his life spent fighting, he sits in the command tent as his peers argue over the defeat, while he recalls the wars he fought, and the defeats that followed, and decides, he is tired of losing.

My first attempt at short story, constructive criticism is welcome, I am no means an expert writer and am just testing the waters with this short.

On Earth, the gun-wielding cult Spotless Light has been cultivating for years faces down the prospect (and the demand) of traveling back to his war-torn home reality much sooner than he expected, this time with the herd of faithful he'd taken into the fold.

The tale of an individual and their journey into insanity as they uncover parts of themselves that they once never knew existed.

AUTHORS NOTE: This project is still in the works, I was going to wait until the story was finished to release the full thing but many wanted to atleast see the progress.
