Twilight has developed a fear of having her magic drained. Unfortunately, she now must relive those memories.

The Power Ponies, Heroines who protects Canterlot City from bad guys and supervillians. After putting away Sombra, a sudden power vacum for control of the city has begun as a new villain looks to shake up the foundation of Canterlot City.

After much preparation, or rather woeful mispreparation, Cozy Glow's latest demonstration at the School of Friendship, in her short-term path to friendship assistant, takes a dire turn when four fictional comic strip characters brought to life completely bail on her and the Cutie Mark Crusaders. It's up to them to put an end to this nightmare.

Meanwhile, four newly defictionalized pegasus colts from the comic strip Nimbus Ranch - Kite Glide, Rain Storm, Gas Jug, and Flight Driver - after having just bailed on the pony who brought them to life, wander the nation of Equestria in an attempt to find the eponymous sleepy cloud town they know and love.

When the beam of Pure Harmony struck Princess Luna, she had expected to be banished or encased in stone, just like any other being who had threatened Equestria in the past.

She did not expect the Elements to tear her soul to shreds.

Neither did she expect to meet a father she had not seen in Millenia.

As the Universe calls out her name for aid, and as the Cosmic Voids threaten to tear apart all she holds dear, Luna is forced to make a choice: save Equestria and make right the wrongs against her, or defend Laniakea against the Eldritch Horrors that inhabit the Voids.

This story is a prequel to The Sentry, but can also be read as a stand alone fic.

When one is a princess, there are a thousand things you have to remember. Public policies, economic projections, meeting details, nobles' names, whether or not you closed the balcony doors before going to bed.

As such, it's only natural for a few things to fall through the cracks.

But surely that's alright. After all, what are the odds that the one thing a princess forgets happens to be of significant importance?
