There's a fantastic Japanese restaurant down the block, and I went and tried authentic Japanese ramen for the first time.

Shepherd: *Sitting down to a meal with a cow... And it's steak*
Shepherd: "Er... You sure you're okay with this?"
Cow: "Oh yes. Circle of life and all that!"
Shepherd: "I mean, you knew this cow."
Cow: "Yes."
Shepherd: "And she was close to you."
Cow: "As close as enemies can get. Hurry up, she's getting cold!"
Shepherd: "..." *Slowly cuts a piece. Lifts it to his mouth. Takes a bite.*
This actually turned out a lot better than I thought, seeing as how this was my first time putting together egg wash, and second time making pancakes (I'm mostly an egg guy).
Kinda hoping with some of this 40th anniversary stuff coming out, we might get a date for Make Your Mark Chapter 4.

I got some oven temperature probes from Amazon a week ago, and today for lunch I made my second attempt at reverse searing steaks.
So on this mixed bag of a day, I wanted to cap it off with some cooking.
Lately I've been wanting to bring some serious heat to my beef, without relying on sauces.
Crazy hot, but juicy and tender enough to make you want another bite.
Tonight I did it.
Petite sirloin cooked rare, with Carolina Reaper Garlic Pepper seasoning.
I didn't mean to but apparently I made a sequel to Nightshift.
Everything else is still progressing, I just had to get this out of my brain is all.
