I like words. That should go without saying on a site dedicated to writing, but I wanted to emphasize it. I really like words, old ones, new ones, long ones, short ones.
This post is about the new ones. Because, you guys, making up pretentious pseudo-latin/greek neologisms is fun. So when I came up with a good one earlier today, I decided I should share it.
I promised some kind of summary post for my Points of Canon series, and since Season 8 is rapidly approaching, I guess I’m running out of time to say whatever it is that I have to say. I will, of course, continue the series, and it’s kind of silly to write any kind of conclusion when it’s so obviously incomplete, that I’m in a middle of a season.
Especially the unkind words.

So there was a competition called "Rarity is Trash" and it gave you five thousand words to refute the statement. Obviously I took umbrage to that, so I swore a lot and mashed a keyboard for three weeks to quadruple that word limit and write "The Price of Happily Ever After".
It's not getting many comments, but the reception seems to be pretty positive, so I guess I'll talk about some important themes writing it. Spoilers, obviously, after this line.

Hello everyone. I just wanted to say a couple of things in regards to the progress of my story. For once I decided to be smart, look over what I already had, and combine it with my initial idea for the story to create an outline for the rest of the plot. You would think that would help me work faster, but there is no limit to how distracted I get, and my procrastination skills are second to none. Antony C would be proud.
Alternate Title: Identity — I’ll explain why later.
Oh, this chapter… Ch.7(Pride) had the most radically alternate version of all the chapters after Ch.4(Optimism), thanks predominantly to it suffering the most from the personality issue getting axed. I’m not entirely satisfied with what I ultimately settled on, but I still think it’s a good chapter.

It occurs to me that the people who claim that 'everyone is beautiful' are the same people who go around telling each other that they're beautiful. Now, correct me if I'm wrong,* but surely this renders the compliment meaningless. It is roughly equivalent to saying "You're just like everyone else." I intended on uploading a story for Halloween, but because it didn't pass moderation (my own fault, cause I wanted to be a fancy dumbass) I had to fix the discrepancy and re-submit it. It just recently uploaded, and no one will ever see it... whatever, though. I just wanted it done. It's been in my "unsubmitted" section for such a long time, and I've always wanted to get it done, but never had the right motivation or drive.
So, after my recent anti-anti-corporate post, I've done some thinking.
I've been working at a supermarket for just over half-a-year now and I've been working through lockdown. And I've been on this site recently and seen this anti-corporate craze and am not impressed by it.
But I have a theory.
