Hey everyone! it's been over a year and half since I last updated but I wanted to lay some fears to rest, The story is not dead, to spare you the boring details between moving and a few other things I hit burnout and stepped away for a while to find balance in my new (Much louder) environment.
OK, I was on my lunch break today and was dickin' around on my phone, and I don't know what made me think of it, but I was reminded of an old movie that I used to enjoy. I haven't seen it in quite a while; I'm thinking I might watch it this weekend.
1989's 'The 'Burbs,' a comedy with a touch of thriller, about a cul-de-sac street occupied by residents with too much time on their hands. Some mysterious new neighbours move in, and suspicions begin to rise.
The show is ending. We all knew it wouldn't last forever, but after so long of it seeming to do just that, it seems they're finally running out of ideas. Frankly, considering how short of a time the previous generations of the show lasted, or how long regular shows last, this is quite impressive. Had the age-rating of the show been different, perhaps it might have carried on even further, but if that had been the case, it probably also would have gone in a different direction than it did.
Exploitative sex, basically. Well, alright, there are a lot of things that creep me out, but the idea of a sort of cruel and thoughtless lust masquerading as love but showing itself as possession and greed, on the one hand, and a vile exploitation on the other... Whee. I'm not 100% sure why I felt compelled to include the sex part at all here, save, perhaps, as contrast to the Safe, Sane, and Consensual love that's a part of the swelling royal herd. None of the mares would permit any

I have a confession to make. I’ve been having troubles finishing what I’ve been trying to do, and instead of doing what I should be doing in terms of writing (or making title images), I’ve been faffing about, playing games (such as Ni No Kuni 2, Kingdom Hearts 3, and Darksiders 3), and keeping an eye on Devil May Cry 5. Speaking of, that’s a week away... sooooooo yeah... Gonna be playing that very soon.
