lol this is me singing a month ago. dont subscribe to my dads youtube, but on it, there's more videos from the past. Hope you enjoy! I mess up on every one
I'm actually pretty tired tonight, so I'll head to bed early, but, anyway, I'm looking forward to singing against my peers here at the university. It'll be good fun, but since a lot of people wanted to participate this year, they won't allow us to sing more than a minute and a half of our songs for the first two rounds. That means we have to make it to the finals in order to sing a full song. I hope I manage to make it that far. If not, I won't be disappointed; there will be talented
For disclosure, I'm not looking that forward to this movie's UK release but I'd be lying if I said the soundtrack wasn't pretty damn impressive. Especially Seth MacFarlane putting his Sinatra voice to great use as Mike the mouse! Say whatever you want about his comedy but you can't deny the man has serious singing chops!
I know, this is a weird thing for me to put up as my first blog post on this site, but I'm working on a project to bring certain portions of this story to life:
Lots of people put other's down for when they voice act an existing character, they don't sound like the original voice actor.
Well there's a very good reason for that... it's because they AREN'T the original actor. they can NEVER sound exactly the same, but just because of that doesn't mean they can't voice act or sing just as good themselves.
Let me demonstrate with something I just recorded. ME, singing Evermore form Beauty and the Beast 2017 (Haven't seen the movie yet)
In the course of the Unforgiven Saga, Luna will have a few songs that she sings, and I was wondering which type of voice you guys think would be a better for her.
Alison Krauss-
Loreena McKennitt-
Or Enya-
I found a dusty cassette recording of 7 year old me from nearly a decade ago singing "God Bless the USA" in the kitchen at my old house.
And I found a RadioShack cassette player in the same box I pulled from storage.
Also, I now have a pile of blank, unrecorded cassettes.
I'm no longer able to hit those high notes. And yes, I was singing along to myself because why not.
It was not a soft letdown, but I guess I shouldn't have as expected much as I did. As a freshman barely known by my older peers, I don't suppose there was much room for me to be received well by the audience. I went first by drawing; I guess I didn't start 'em off well.
Well, I finished my last final and returned home today. I feel good.
Anyway, since I'm feeling on top of the world, I'm seriously considering singing a few songs (maybe five) for my 200 subscribers special. I know it's more something I want to do, but maybe people will like it and look at my other uploads and maybe think "If he sings okay, he must audio read okay, too."
Do you know how to write a scene when a character sing a song without copying and pasting a lyrics in the story? And do you really read a lyrics when you find it in the text?
I just skip it. It disturbs the flow of the story. I believe a writer should focus on an emotional response from songs, this may be a way to write such a scene.
[Stevie Wonder:]
See the girl with the diamonds in her shoes? Yeah
She walks around like she's got nothing to lose
Ya she's a go-getter, she's everybody's type
She's a queen of the city but she don't believe the hype
She's got her own elevation, holy motivation
So I wrote some letters out in big bold type
[Stevie Wonder & Ariana Grande:]
I got faith in you baby, I got faith in you now
Hey, everyone! I just found out about this opportunity to sing competitively at my university on the 14th of next month. However, I have to register tomorrow, and I must provide four songs to sing at each level of the competition as well as the order. I don't know if there are prizes, but I'd like to do my best, you know?
Due to personal, issues with my life and stress, I no longer want to work on the audio production of the Sining Heart. I like to give the job to someone else. Someone who has experience in editing movies and audio dramas. If anyone is interested or knows someone who will fit the job, please note me.
