Sadly, due to a combination of yardwork and a few of my other interests (particularly the three-hour finale of Survivor Season 36), I was only able to write 506 words today. RIP my upcoming day off.

Sigh. Oh well, at least I'd built up enough of a buffer that I'm still on track for the month. My current total word count for the month is now 23,121.

I got distracted by other things today, sadly, so I only managed to get 525 words written for Sunset. The chapter is proceeding as planned, at least - it currently sits at 2,085 words, and I'm not even halfway done I don't think.

Okay! I managed to hammer out one of the last three scenes today, though admittedly it's definitely gonna be the shortest by far. Got a total of 1,027 words done today, putting my current total at 10,368 for the month. I've broken 10k! Right on schedule, but still.

So close to done I can taste it, but not quite yet.

17383 words. Shouldn't be more than a few hundred more, but I need to tweak a few things before I send this out to the editors. Think I dare say that should happen sometime during the weekend, with the chapter proper dropping sometime next week.

As such, last call if anybody wants to volunteer for editing that hasn't already. At least for #8.

You've probably guessed this already and I mentioned it in the comments of DH, but what I thought would be the easiest bit to write turned out to require ten-times that effort in both words and research time.

So, just a small heads up I'm in 'crunch time' on the chapter and that's why I've been silent. Not much more to add, just that its taking longer than I thought.

Good lordy, The Scare Master (s5e15) is the first of the episodes I haven't seen yet. I've got a long way to go to get even remotely caught up.

But yeah, this is a precursor for me to get back into writing. Slow going though. Especially because stress coming from work, the fact my wife was fired from her job in November, and the fact I'm kinda hunting for a new job.

A bit of a better writing day today, with 1,117 words added to the total. This chapter of Sunset is coming along quite nicely, and I expect it to be done in a few days time at most. Even came up with another artifact! Still want two more to round things out, though.

My total word count for the month is now 18,616! The end is in sight...

Got some good news tonight, dear readers! Not only have I finished the chapter of Synchrony I've been working on (courtesy of 1,053 last words), thus allowing me a day off from writing tomorrow, but the next chapter of Sunset should be ready to post tomorrow too!

It's a long chapter, but I think I think you all will like it.

May's cumulative word count is now 16,140! I'm doing great.

Only 1,026 words today, but that's okay because I finally got to write a certain pony's introduction! Well, most of it anyway. The scene has only just begun!

Guess who finished a chapter of Synchrony today! Well, I suppose there aren't exactly very many options to pick from... Jokes aside, that's I believe my third chapter completed this month - and my second started, with the opening pages of Sunset in Ponyville chapter 6.

290 on one and 781 on the other bring my total for the day to 1,071! And my grand total for the month to 14,245. Which means I'm basically halfway done!
