I've told a few already, but I'm trying to aim for an update before...
Well, an entire year has passed, to be blunt. 
Sadly... August was not pleasant. I was knocked out an entire whole week from what I think was the flu and it hit me so bad I barely remember it, and now only a week later I've caught the worst cold I've had in years.
Did I mention the heavy rains and mosquito invasion?

Fun, fun, fun. No (major) flooding in my part of the country, though. Small favors.
Anyway, progress is being made, if with a zombie like shuffling instead of the massive strides I'd hoped for.
7538 words, 21 pages. Roughly 65-70% done.
Think it's shaping up quite well so there is still a shot at that deadline, but I'm going to have to stop spewing ecto-cooler from near every opening to judge that and the chapter itself better. 
You didn't have spend two months in hospital at the beginning of the year, so hey, at least there's that.
