Some status stuff.

Gleaner Chronicles: American Monsters will be updated every Sunday.

I have been working on a new first person MLP fan fiction about a writer who wakes up in a
lighthouse with a one day hole in his memory. During that time, the world has been changed and almost everyone is gone.
Ponies from a religious order help the remaining people deal with the situation.

Since the ponies and humans can't get from the writer how he survived, they decide to exile him because they can't take the chance he could be an evil being in disguise. Eventually, he finds out that he has to go on a mission to stop the evil beings from doing something that could make things worse. I have more details but they could change. Haven't gotten to this part yet.

The good news is that I have a good idea on how this story will end. The whole story won't fit inside one book.
I learned my lesson from Gleaner Chronicles: American Monsters, no story longer than eighteen or twenty chapters if you want any editors or prereaders here on Fimfiction. My solution is to have longer chapters with more words. No fluff or filler.

Anyway, I know how the story ends. In a dark hole somewhere. The main char is afraid of the dark and the big bad gets more power from dark low places.

So yeah, the story is a road trip with a few chars. I juggled seven main chars in the gleaner series and that's too many. Let's try five this time.

Do I have worries, yes, I do!
One main worry is that I may not have enough MLP in this story. It's not in Equestria. The main char is a human. There is only one main char that's from Equestria. There are other ponies that are from Equestria though. No mane six. Oh yeah, no friendship lessons or MLP show preaching. It's quite possible an editor or prereader could read this and say it feels more like an original story and less like a MLP story.

This would definitely derail and maybe stop me from finishing this story. If I want to write original stuff, I would have done that already. Swapping ponies for Kirin (Small dragon like creatures) or people would change the story a lot. Not sure this is something I need to fuss with or soon as possible.

Also this story is one being written online and will be edited online so I won't have any idea it's good or even decent after a long while. Whee!

In January, I will start the Children of Oonte cleanup project. I have to find a decent editor and fix up the story so it stops collecting downvotes. I owe it to the readers. Heck, there even is a sequel.

In the sequel, the Terran six have to go on quests to get their elements of harmony (Well, the artifacts act like the EOH). I will probably have to make a name for the elements for the Terran six. Each of the Terran six have a mane six ally to help them.

Rainbow Dash analogue, Fluttershy -> cowboy world. Fluttershy makes a deal with some vultures so she could get water.

Rarity analogue, Rainbow Dash-> zombie world
Applejack analogue, Pinkie Pie-> Cursed carnival
There are some other places like a ruin controlled by ravenous plants, a Halo like world and a strange city.
After they get their artifacts, well, I have to continue and finish.
