And so, we finally reach the (unofficial) end, to The Expansive Romance of Applebloom and Coral Leaf!
So let's talk about Diamond Tiara's redemption...in song! I mean, the songs from the show. I will not be singing.
Whew! Was gonna wait until the middle of the week, but was too excited to keep this in any longer!
This was one of those 'tentpole' chapters that was like the dessert at the end of another meal-course. I had to 'slog' through some character development and not-so-hot storytelling to get here, but I'm pretty sure it'll find some fans and get some cheers (though I'm sure I'll be met with plenty of 'meh's.').
So, episode four, it happened, I think this could be the start of an awesome friendship and maybe something even more when they get older! The story for this episode is, now that the CMC have their cutie marks, they don't need to do everything together anymore. Apple Bloom takes it as "I don't think we should ever hang out together anymore." She sets out to try all the things they did as the CMC when they were searching for their cutie marks by herself. Eventually she tries dancing, and meets a
Well, kind of flew through this chapter, but hope it has some nice, emotional moments to it.
I did struggle with it for a bit, because I felt it could have become very 'talky.' Because of that (and fearing it'd easily go over 10,000 words), I decided to 'streamline' the chapter, with summaries, and giving characters dialogue, when I felt it was necessary.
I'm so sorry for not putting out Chapter 2 as promised again. The week I went through was mostly hell. My former roommate was making me problems and caused me a lot of emotional stress with that, my Internet connection at home broke (and I can only write this now because I bought a used netbook on Friday so that I won't miss the new episode, with which I can use public W-LAN outside of my apartment) and my provider told me they can only send a technician to look for the problem on
Could these campfire stories be more than just legends?
August 20 - Saturday
Applejack sunk her face into the pie with the enthusiasm of a freshly washed pig jumping into mud. She was going to make sure Applebloom and her were going to be hogs at the trough by the end of the Sisterhood Social. They even had matching shirts, white with a red circle on the front and back, imitating Japan's national flag.
So, I just got done watching "The Cutie Map" and I am now a little more acquainted to who villain Starlight is. Anyways, in an episode after that one, Applebloom and the other CMCs are having nightmares about their cutie marks, and based on what we saw from AB's POV, it seemed as though "she" (what Luna said was only AB's fear) took away the cutie mark every time she got one she didn't like, or tried to fix things. The voice... SEEMED ODDLY FAMILIAR.
Been busy writing stories, which is kinda funny since I keep getting more and more ideas. It's getting to the point that if a singular image inspires me, I write something fast (if I get their permission to use the image for the cover).
Anyway, newest story is entitled 'Passing Afternoon', which goes to my love of Spike and Apple Bloom. Kind of a throwback to my early writing of those cuties.
So...where to begin with this one...
Although you all know of my hatred for the CMC, let's all rejoice friends! Come with me, and dance in celebratory bliss that the CMC have finally gotten their Cutie Marks!
The five years of pain and suffering are over! Now we never have to deal with those pesky boneheads anymore!!
But seriously though, the episode. Before starting, I was like,
"Okay,
Computer [X]
Skyrim to pass the ads [X]
McDonald's Breakfast [X]
Usually don't bother doing a blog post about episodes because I don't have much to say, but given the storyline significance of the episode and the fact it is the 5th anniversary I guess it makes sense.
In case the title didn't clue you in then warning, spoilers ahead.
Apparently the Apple lies in the hospital.
Well, was going to do some more rough drafting on an upcoming chapter this weekend, but hit a bit of a rocky outcrop. So, what is a guy to do? Review/revise/release Chapter 3!
Originally, I was going to do a new chapter every 3 weeks, but if I keep with the schedule I have now, I will keep up a bi-weekly release.
Season 6 races right along with this...kinda cliche episode.
Well, I was originally planning to hold off until this weekend to release Chapter 13, but I was on such a 'cloud 9' feel, I put it up a few days ago!
I was glad to read some liked where I was going with the story, and in developing the characters. Seriously, I did try to 'streamline' the story, but like the previous chapter, all that chatting I like to write for characters, pushed this one over 9000 words!
My thoughts on the cutest griffon ever may be a little late, but better late than never, right?
Took a little longer than expected, but we catch up with Sweetie Belle some time after she's been on campus.
