Let the adventure continue!
I've been writing my novel for more than 2 years now. I wrote 47 chapters that are still unpublished. Then, this episode happened...
The episode is great and all. I can't really say anything bad about it, but it did hurt my novel a lot.
I don't want AU and I can't say that events take place in the past (for reasons in the novel).
For those of you wondering where I've been, I've been helping Nightmare_0mega finish more of his chapters for his story Elements Change the Dark Hearts, and lastly THIS NEW HORROR STORY HE WROTE FOR HALLOWEEN.
The Fault in Our Cutie Marks leaked. Only in Polish, though.
Hmm, it'd be nice to know that language...
Oh wait, that's my native language. Nevermind. A few things you probably don't want to know yet:
A guy with two swords as a cutie mark thinks his daughter's cutie mark is worrying. Weird.
The Last Crusade was a great episode. The fact we finally got to meet Scootaloo's parents and aunts was cool. Also, poor Scootaloo in this episode. Her almost having to leave her friends, you cried right along with them. I know I did. Also, Scootaloos parents are basically the Irwins which is kinda cool. That also raises the question, was Scootaloo born in a jungle somewhere? Just curious. The fact she got to stay with her friends in the end was really sweet as they're the only ones that have
Grrrrrrrrrrrrreetings everypony, and welcome back to Deconstruction is Magic, my Retrospective/Review/Analysis of every episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is magic ever. Today, we have a minor epic on our hooves. It's The Cutie Mark Chronicles! Without wasting any more time, let's get on with the analysis! I am the Mage of Mind, reminding you, as always, that even a cheeseburger can be deconstructed to its source.
The Cutier Mark Crusaders are on spiritual or philosophical quest to discover the self. Some philosophers like Descartes, refer to the self as an individual entity expressed by the conduct and discourse of said individual. In the case of Descartes he came up with "Cogito ergo sum," or I think therefore I am. Lao Tzu philosophized that, "Knowing others is wisdom. Knowing the self is enlightenment. Mastering others requires force. Mastering the self requires strength." Plato argued that
So the Cutie Mark Crusaders FINALLY got their Cutie Marks this past season! But now we're left to wonder if that's a good thing or a bad thing?
WARNING: Contains Mild Spoilers to Crusaders of the Lost Mark
This blog post mainly is going to address Scootaloo's (Not so Cool) Cutie Mark. But it applies to Cutie Mark Crisis as well.
As you all know Scootaloo's (Not so Cool) Cutie Mark takes place in the same universe as Sisterly Bonds: The Rewrite and I would like to stress that what I say about not so cool cutie mark applies to that universe as well.
My interpretation of the CMC's new Cutie Marks:
While all three have the same BASE mark, each has a unique symbol relating to them. Applebloom and Apple, Scootaloo a lightning bolt, and Sweetie Belle a song note.
I believe this shows while all three have VERY SIMILAR base talents, ultimately it's not the SAME talent, merely like Flim and Flam they have talents that work best when combined.
My thoughts on the cutest griffon ever may be a little late, but better late than never, right?
So, the new episode dropped early on youtube for...reasons?
And something in it stood out to me and I'd like to hear what other folks think. Head below the cut to discuss.
I'll put up a post for last week some time as well.
Have you ever been so shocked that your whole perspective drastically changed? Have you tried to live your life undistracted as if nothing changed? Did you feel like living your life was just pretend as if you were an alien in your own shoes?
I'm only counting the songs that were song by the Cutie Mark Crusaders as a group, any solo songs from just one member don't count. Still, that leaves a grand total of twelve songs to consider, more than any main character except Twilight or Pinkie Pie. However, which ones truly represent the CMC as characters in addition to any qualities they might have on an entertainment level? Well, that's what we're going to find out. Like always, this is purely the result of my personal opinion.
So, I guess this is my first official blog post on this site.
Hey everyone!
If anybody out there was wondering what I’m up to... life in general. Between work and a 1-year-old, and a new fixer-upper house, I have been insanely busy. I’ll bet y’all aren’t nearly as interested in that as whether or not I am still writing...
The short answer... yes!
I have two things in the works right now, and plenty of ideas still simmering in the back of my mind.
Hello all, been busy with life, so hows about another Q&A while Cutie Pox is being posted later on today? The topic? The FaM CMC:
