H Y P E.
But seriously, after a few seasons that were honestly a bit meh personally, I think this final season will be a great way to end the show.

Common Ground- This episode had potentially a lot going against it. Don't care about buckball, Rainbow Dash is tied with Applejack at the bottom of the mane six (I like them, just less than the others), Quibble Pants was okay at best in his first appearance, and most of all Josh Haber is my least favorite of the major writers on the show.
Just like I said, a shiny empire will be in trouble. A new power is discovered for the Mane 6, with the Young 6 coming back for more. The original ruler of the empire will return and a highly anticipated character from the past will appear for the first time in forever.
I rarely have reason to give blog posts. I'm not even sure why I'm bothering now, to be honest. Now that I am, I may as well say my two cents on the ending of FIM.
I honestly don't get why so many people got so apoplectic about the ending. Exactly what about any of that warranted death threats against the creators and made them question why they had been involved all along? The level of overreaction truly does boggle my mind.
I know it’s been a while but I had this in mind recently, what if someone got so pissed off at discord’s actions that my character OC Lee Nova from Zone, would bard be in on the defeat of Chrysalis, Tirek, and Cozy glow turning himself into a forerunner warrior with the power to end Discord’s pathetic life.
...of the day (can't remember the last time that happened). But... I can't help but to admit that I've been shedding a few tears in the last half hour or so...
Here's why:
Anypony else getting nailed in the feels from this?
You all need to catch up to end of Season 8 and watch it if you haven't already.
Once again. I stress this. Need. This is non-negotiable.
I'm not gonna post spoilers because oh my god so much happened but did they really need to show that? Twice?
Best show.
Of the 100 slots in the Season 9 Bingo Writing Contest, 25 have been claimed. Each of those authors will be getting a unique, randomised prompt card that looks a little like this:
Just saw the teaser for the new season, it's just 30 seconds long, but man the first episode of the season looks so good! I'm excited to see it! April can't come fast enough!
My only hope for this season, just more Sunburst, that's all I ask. The writers kind of dropped him after The Parent Map episode, but I got some hope of seeing him, since this episode takes place in the Crystal Empire (at least part of it) I hope we get a glimpse of him.

If sources can be trusted, the airing date for season 9 had been announced:
April 6th
11:30am Eastern / 8:30am Pacific / 4:30pm British
That will therefore be the end date for the Season 9 Bingo Writing Contest.
I won't be judging this one, this time around. But Shrink Laureate has a contest that went up today with an interesting premise.
Basically using a season 9 bingo card to create a unique prompt for everyone. He explains it better than I, but it's a clever way of doing things that some might find fun. Especially those who like the challenge of writing something new.
This just in...
Assuming no shenanigans, this means the Season 9 Bingo Writing Contest will end some time in April.
Remember, you have to get your story published and added to the group by the time season 9 starts; and it has to be complete and no more changes by one week later.
What are your thoughts?
My favorite part is that King Sombra has returned and the looks of it, he's waging war!
WELP.
I admit, this one's late. But it was a holiday weekend, aaaand it was a Spike episode, and, uh-- certain things take priority over others, y'know? Not to mention the episode title made it sound like a barbecue sauce. Not to mention the fact that the show's called "My Little Pony" and not "My Little Dragon," you know?
Guys, Yona is seriously the most precious cinnamon roll; I will protect her with my life. Also, that song the Young Six sang—took me on a feels trip, man
Well folks, courtesy of Licensing Expo in Las Vegas, we have a looooot of upcoming MLP rumours.
Bear in mind, most of these are rumours. I mean, Michael Vogel's hinted at the holiday special on Twitter constantly but take these other bits of info with a grain of salt.
Still...
