Sorry, I was out all of today and just got back so I haven't even seen the episode myself!
Sorry, I was out all of today and just got back so I haven't even seen the episode myself!
Something about the season finale's been bothering me. Specifically, Starlight's backstory, motivation and redemption. I thought at first that I just needed some time to process it, but that feeling hasn't gone away yet. Something about it doesn't quite sit right, somehow.
Due to me having four hours community service, I won't be able to post the episode early in the morning, but it will be up eleven-ish. Until then, have a preview!
If you didn't watch the finale yet don't read this blog to avoid spoilers. Anyway here we go. Get ready cause this will take a while. You might wanna get a snack or a drink.
As I said last week I would post this this week. I was going to post this on Thursday, but I decided to do it today because of what tomorrow is.
So my thoughts on Season 5.
Nightmare Moon declares that Celestia has been locked in the moon for years. Years. Now perhaps that whole "one year between season 1 and season 4" thing can die.
Yeah I am a bit mifed about that one. It was so stupid but people have persisted with it in spite of all the evidence to the contrary.
And it was absolutely positutly the most AMAZING episode yet. Talk about a way to finish the best season in style. Now before I get into the jist of it I would just like to put a SPOILER WARNING for all you who still haven't seen it. Go watch it right now! Do not proceed if you do not do so. I will not be held accountable for a spoiled anything!

You done? Good
So I just finished watching the season finale of mlp (its around 12:30am here) and when Twilight told Starlight that she would teach her the magic of friendship and technically take her in as her personal prodigy I was like Holy Fucking Shit this season has been awesome and I can't wait for Season 6 to air!!!!!
Surely her neck is not that hard to animate without making her look like either an alien or suicidal pet owner.
What do you mean season six starts this week? I haven’t rewatched season five yet! Oh well, I’ll just parcel it out over the rest of the week, watch a few episodes a day, it’ll be fine.
What do you mean it’s Wednesday night and season six starts in three days and I haven’t watched any of season five yet? @_@ DROP EVERYTHING WATCH PONI
I DID IT IN TWO DAYS @_@; BETTER LATE THAN NEVER, RIGHT?
I'm quite excited, as he is the number one writer for the show in my eyes. They really need his help.
Mine was the war with King Sombra!! Enslaved soldiers vs the army of Canterlot!! Plus applejack and rarity were forced to apply their trade to the war effort.
I’ll just go ahead and say it, this has been my favorite season of MLP yet.
There was a great over-arching story from start to finish (the cutie map being important in the premiere, finale, and several episodes throughout), as well as just an overall theme of cutie marks as a whole.
Why i am thinking that Twilight is being bannished to the Shadow Realm?
Anyways, I think Starlight is trying to kill them? Wow.
And, WE ARE BACK! I officially declare this hiatus OVER. Now let's go.

This week's episode was about a popstar who'd been bullied and manipulated by her manager. Over time, Ra Ra had grown to doubt her own self-worth, but it was her love of charity that finally showed her the light, and the realization that it was a love her manager did not share.
Applejack is excited to celebrate Hearthswarming Eve with Pinkie Pie's family but soon discovers that the Pies have very different ways of enjoying the holiday at their Rock Farm.
Guess it's back to more Apple family...

My favorites:
~ Flash Sentry was originally in the script. He was following Cranky asking why no one likes him.
