Well, yesterday was the opposite of the first day, though not entirely in a bad way. I bombed in my one tournament entry, the $235 daily deepstack at the WSOP at the Rio. Out in an hour. It was one of those deals where you can literally do no right and all of your hands will inevitably be second-best. It was nice meeting everyone. Folks here were really friendly, and I got to see a lot of very smart people say some very smart things. I got to talk with people, not just about ponies, but about all sorts of things. We were all among friends, and it was an enjoyable experience, apart from the odd bit of awkwardness.

Arrival in Las Vegas was something of a comedy of very odd errors for me. Woke up at 5am for a 7am flight, took care of some last minute chores, then caught a taxi to the airport. Flight was on time--a direct flight to Las Vegas on Southwest; the only airline that offers them out of here--arriving at 8am local time after a four flight in which I played Ace Attorney: Justice for All on 3DS.
