Spoilers: there is no city-mending in this story. :( There is a reading though, by Savrin Drake.

(As this was my second chance for FarnesyFudge, I'll start with the critique of the reading.
Simply put, I can’t stand the constant interruptions. Also his Applejack voice is horrendous. His regular voice is good enough that I’ll be happy to hear him collaborating with others, but I’m going to skip his personal readings.) (Here's another by Savrin Drake.)

(Again, a few words about the reading, by FandangoTV. I had a few qualms about him at first, but I've since decided I'll add him to my list and get to his other stuff eventually. I found him because I was specifically looking for an audiobook of this fic, by the way. He's got good volume, a nice reading pace that tends toward the slow, and just a few missteps as far as false starts. I have a feeling those were simply missed in

A ridiculous little blob of absurdity that encapsulates the best moment of the season 3 opener.

I have no words!
I'm so glad someone else writes this way.
(If you haven't already, make sure you take Bad Horse's Fimfiction Attitudes Survey!)
Going into this, there were only two stories of Cyanide's I haven't read: Hexonxonx, which will never be finished cuz he ded, and The Moonstone Cup. Well, now that number's down to one. :B

I've been teasing it for a bit, but here we are!
Now with new reviews instead of copies of reviews from a few days ago, thanks to PresentPerfect pointing out my mistake.

Y’know what’s way easier than writing my own stories? Talking about other people’s stories!
In the past, I’ve written a couple of reviews, and they were all good and fun and everyone loved them forever. Probably. Point is, I like to think I was pretty good at that kind of thing, and I’d like to do more of it.
darf is one of the most visible authors on this site, and his story is known to many: built an audience by writing clop, was dismayed to find said audience wasn't interested in his more literary, less prurient pursuits. It was a hard lesson, but a good one to have learned, for the sake of us all. And then, three years ago, he took off.
Sleep continues to be my nemesis. That's pretty much all I've got at the moment. Still open to pony/fimfiction suggestions for more XCOM2 soldiers.

Fallout: Equestria.
One of the "big three" My Little Pony fanfictions; quite possibly the most popular story in the fandom. Regardez: it was featured in a certain Cracked.com Quick Fix.
Before I even get started talking about the story, I first have to talk about the reading by Illya Leonov. I hope you all are familiar with Mr. Leonov and his dulcet voice, allow me to refresh your memories.
Nana korobi, ya oki. Meaning, you fall down seven times, get up eight times. An encouragement to for perseverance.
I think that old proverb fits perfectly well with this story. The best thing I could compare this story to is like watching one of those old samurai movies, like Seven Samurai and the like. What we have here is one very artsy take on Equestria. The author, Salty Alty said in the comments on this:
Audiobook review first!
