Review: Magnolia (1999) · 10:16pm Nov 11th, 2015

Paul Thomas Anderson's third feature marked the peak of his increasingly complex ensemble dramas, marking the exceptional maturation and expansion of the stylistic and storytelling tropes he first properly explored in Boogie Nights.

"Sounds of Silence" Review: There is no Light without Darkness · 12:54am Sep 30th, 2018

I guess anger is like other feelings. It's not about having them, it's what you do with them. - Autumn Blaze

This episode got very special to me, a gift in times where I need it most.
It contains two very important lessons:

Getting angry and letting out your anger in controlled ways is not wrong.

and

You can only have positive feelings if you have negative feelings as well.

No Holds Barred (1989) · 4:40am Apr 14th, 2018

So... is friendship a religion in Equestria? I mean sure it's a relationship status and they've used the "magic" of friendship to win the day against the forces of evil or darkness or whatever but, I really get the vibe that it's become a religion. Friendship in a very generic way is sort of a new testament if you will.

Another Memorial Day Approaching · 10:36pm May 24th, 2018

Hello, there everyone; it's me, Fireflower with even another new announcement: for those who had been staying with me, I had been inadvertently taking a hiatus from college to recuperate; so far, I've managed to finish Harmonious Repetitions Twofold this year, something that I should have done a long time ago, let alone started. Now having said that, I have been able to pace myself and get focused in on some new stories that will be published within the next month; anyways, this post should

Review: Spectre (2015) (Contains Spoilers...) · 3:17am Dec 26th, 2015

Is this the worst Bond film ever?

Yes. End of review.

...

Okay fine, I'll review the movie properly, since, ya know, that's what I do, I guess.

So anyways, in the continuing saga of me sticking it to The Man, I downloaded a DVD Screener of the most recent entry of the seemingly endless Bond franchise, Spectre.

My Movie Review/Extreme Rant on Noah (2014) · 2:57pm Sep 26th, 2019

This movie that I'm giving you all an analysis on today...IS OF THE VERY WORST ADAPTION OF A BIBLICAL STORY I'VE EVER SEEN:

"Noah (2014)"

There are times you just know you're getting sick. Take for example this past week when I was sitting down and eating pizza at one of those make your own pizza places. I could feel it. The soreness in the throat and the occasional cough that was so subtle that it could be mistaken for me clearing my throat. I knew better though and things rapidly declined.

Review: Boogie Nights (1997) · 10:02pm Nov 7th, 2015

Paul Thomas Anderson's second film is a fascinating, intentionally sprawling examination of the lives of those sucked into the California porn industry in the late 1970s through the early 1980s, and not only provides a unique lens in which to view the time period, also manages to humanize these characters, while still highlighting the exploitative and demeaning elements of the industry, coupled with the allure of stardom and fame that it promises.

Alas, my dear readers, I must confess to weakness! For my parents did contact me a few days ago and bribed me into a visit with plans for a fishing trip, which I've been wanting to be apart of for some time. This means I'll be heading home tomorrow after I finish my literary duties. Those of you who know me on Skype are aware that this means infrequent appearances and less socializing due to a satellite-based internet that is woefully lacking and the added distraction of being with

Pony Tale Adventures has been put out to pasture at the C&D ranch. It was a bit disappointing. The art assets, sound, and general introductory scenario were charming (at least on the safe for work version). It's a shame that we will never see the title make it to fruition. That said the end result wasn't a complete surprise.
