Some thoughts on modern technology...
You know the classic mad scientist trope, as seen in Frankenstein, Jurassic Park, The Fly, etc, where some scientists create something they don't understand? Where they've had the inspiration to achieve something amazing, but they don't really control it or know how it works, and it inevitably breaks free and confounds/betrays/eats them?

The day before I saw Ant-Man and the Wasp, I went and saw the sequel to 2015's dinosaur movie extravaganza.
Now, let me say this right out the gate:
The lost lands, a dumping ground of the past. Random chunks of ages gone by and ended up here, along with what they were carrying. It was possible to walk out of one area that was begot from a Pleistocene scrubwood forest, keep moving for several kilometers, and end up in a Carboniferous swamp. New ecosystems asserted themselves as creatures and plants from myriad of time periods coexisted. This is the result of one such interaction.
Okay, I don't play Ark myself, but wow!
It's like an anime but with dinosaurs!

Hey everyone. Several months back I posted a video animation someone had done of four dinosaurs bending the elements, in the vein of Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Well, I just checked the guy's YouTube channel and found a new installment!

This might please your childhood. It did with mine. I want it, but uh I think I'll wait for a lower price cause promises of developer.
It was awesome! I think it could have more dinosaurs, because great part of the movie focus on people. But Blue and Rex team up to end with Indominus was... AMAZING. Best part, 'nuff said. Also the Mosasaur part was amazing too when watching in 3D. BTW, I learned that: Blue is best dinosaur.
At last, we have a "The Making of..." for Prehistoric Planet!
One of Apple TV+'s most-watched and most-well-received dinosaur documentary series returns for five new tales, 66 million years in the making!
Hopefully there'll be a Prehistoric Planet 3-12 in the future, along with a franchise of spin-offs!

Honestly I've been checked out on Star Wars for a long time: longer than before the new trilogy came around to sour it even further. I mean I technically still write Star Wars, though it's nothing that can be accepted by any ol' fan. For one thing, the Ssi-Ruuk are regularly represented, and another is that they're not presented as their original selves. Still a shame they're so under-utilized in the mythos, only appearing in only two or three books out of the whole EU. What a fine day that
One of my favorite backstory to a zords ever
With Prehistoric Planet just about to air next week, here are some little clips of scenes from the series that depict dinosaurs and other prehistoric reptiles living in coasts, deserts, freshwater, ice worlds, and forests.
From executive producer Jon Favreau, narrator David Attenborough, and composer Hans Zimmer, comes a dinosaur documentary that is sure to be called the next Walking with Dinosaurs.
