Paul's Thursday Reviews IX · 2:49pm Oct 1st, 2015

First thing's first: No Heroes: Beyond the Everfree releases today! I am very aware that this story is not going to make a splash, as the only people who will be seriously interested in it are those fans of the No Heroes series. And y'know what? I couldn't care less. I'm just excited to finally see a sequel – not a prequel, not a side story – finally come to light, and it's a sequel I've wanted to do ever since I finished Book IV almost exactly two years ago. This may be the

Today is Election Day in the United States, the crescendo of over a year and a half of people campaigning to be leader of the free world. Be sure to vote, if you haven’t already (I did in mid-October, because here in Oregon, we vote by mail – no waiting around in line, and plenty of time to research the topics while you’re voting).

Story updates · 11:05am Dec 10th, 2022

Due to popular demand, Cherry Berry's Accidental Flagging will take precedent over all other updates. I might do a mass updating next Friday and drop Aftermath of the Blanks, Family Facade, and Cherry Berry at the same time Friday evening. Not sure but Cherry Berry story will be what I will write now.

Read It Later Reviews #69 – Cutie Mark Crusaders Alpha Pack Leader; Sweet Nothings; Rapunzbelle; The Truth Is…, A Long Time Coming · 11:08pm Mar 10th, 2017

I actually got this review set done before I reviewed Eternal, but I hung onto it so my 1000th posted review would be something special (I’ve actually got most of a Read It Now set done, too).

But with that now read and posted, time to post this!

Today’s stories:

Cutie Mark Crusaders Alpha Pack Leader by Estee
Sweet Nothings by Absolute Anonymous
Rapunzbelle by Violet CLM
The Truth Is… by Crystal Moose

Before we begin, let me just take this opportunity to thank the six people currently supporting me on Patreon, and the one individual who chose to donate via PayPal instead. You guys are all awesome. If you intend to claim a reward (Patreon's not giving me any info on that, or I just don't know how to access it), shoot me a PM and we'll get that set up.

Paul's Thursday Reviews CIII · 10:13pm Feb 1st, 2018

There are few feelings quite so nice as that of success. And success is what I have, pulling off just over 62,000 words in January. It reminds me of why I like deadlines and pressure. When I see a due date coming and take a look at what's really needed to meet my goals, I tend to go into worker bee mode, and that's exactly what happened in the last three weeks. If I can do something like this on a monthly basis, releasing my big stories doesn't seem like such a big chore. As things stand

Read It Later Reviews #63 – Who Has Time for Laziness?; The Dusty Trail; A Good Trot, Spoiled; A “Warm” Distraction; Two Cups of Tea · 10:59pm Jan 23rd, 2017

Apparently the answer to that first question is me, given that the first two reviews in this set were from a Read It Now set that I let sit for so long it ended up Read It Later. But I felt like reading some stories yesterday evening to round out a set.

Let’s get cracking.

Today’s stories:

Who Has Time for Laziness? by Minds Eye
The Dusty Trail by Unicorncob
A Good Trot, Spoiled by Estee
A “Warm” Distraction by Alchemicgree

I was going to post another set of “Read It Now” reviews today, but the stories I was reading weren’t agreeing with me. So I figured I’d finish up this set of recommended story reviews, as I haven’t done one of these in a while.

Recommended Story Reviews #15 – Wet Feathers, Martial Bliss, For When It Rains, I Am Trying to Break Your Heart, Where You Can’t Follow · 1:06pm Jan 26th, 2017

While I haven’t posted a Recommended Story Review set every month, I have been trying to do so, and this set brings me up to #15. This is starting to have an interesting consequence, though. Because these sets are composed entirely of stories that I enjoyed enough to recommend before I started doing reviews, the number of stories I can include in these sets shrinks every blog post.

Recommended Story Reviews #14 – Dinky Debates Dexterity, Destiny and Dinner; Tunnel of Love; “Princest is Wincest,” It Said; All the Mortal Remains; Home Grown · 11:05pm Dec 24th, 2016

It is almost Christmas, and that means that it is time for me to get off my butt and get people stuff to read for the holidays. I have been remiss in getting review sets posted; hopefully the rapidly approaching end of the year will encourage me to get more done.

This is a rather eclectic set of stories in some ways, but in another way, all but one of them manages to capture a lovely little sentiment. I wonder if you can guess which one that is from the titles?

F/F/T3K15 6/15: A bittersweet symphony. · 5:00am Jun 16th, 2018

Last week's shuffle is all done. Enjoy.

This week, as our second ongoing multiparter, we've got one of the most (in)famous tragedies in pony fiction history: "Bittersweet." Prepare to be made unhappy, whether it's the way the story intends or not.
