MY THOUGHTS: TEMPEST SHADOW'S BACKSTORY · 11:04pm Oct 7th, 2017
"Someday, I will be whole again..."
"Someday, I will be whole again..."
I was just thinking to myself about something that I've likely said a number of times before, about writing.
It was... good.
That twilight zone between 'just' good and excellent, three and a half stars out of five if you so will... but good nonetheless.
The critics aren't wrong, though. Felt quite a lot as if somebody (Burton, cough) thought taking a bunch of E-list X-Men and dress them all up in WW2 period clothes was 'the best idea, evar~
Getting ought up on the Pirates series since i'm planning on catching the 'last' one tomorrow, and I'd missed #4. Thought I'd write about it. More behind the cut, spoiler free, if you care.
Had a blast with this one.
And I thought it was a bit more important then usual to point that out, because seems like this one is one of those films that the general audience loves, but critics loath with all their hearts.
Seems it a mix of the fantasy and pirates thing—which I must personally admit find about as meaningful and fair a bit of critique as if somebody would be shocked that Toyota's next project is another car aimed at the main-stream—and the break-neck pace.
I don't know if this is because that there's been a long hiatus, or if this was just excellent, but I loved this freaking episode. And I have some things to say about it. Here are my thoughts on season 5's triumphant return and this week's episode, Canterlot Boutique.
Spoilers. You've been warned.
IT. WAS. AMAZING!!
I had a fantastic time watching the movie at my local theater. Folks, I haven’t had such an amazing time since the summer of 2011 when my father and I watched “Transformers: Dark of the Moon”. That was the last time I’ve been to a theater. So watching a new transformers film in a fucking movie theater after 10+ years felt so nostalgic.
Was the best Pearl episode of the series, and I will fight anyone who disagrees (Unless we count Mr. Greg as a Pearl episode, that wins for the opposite reason). It was so fun! There was no big threat, no groundbreaking lore developments, no bitterness about her lost love. Just Pearl being gay and trying to look cool. Seeing Pearl try and then fail to approach Mystery Girl (Her name starts with S, but beyond that, it's unclear) was funny, and then seeing her actually work up the guts to go talk
Who's hype for WrestleMania? Me neither.
Nah, I'm kidding, it'll probably be good fun. I just kinda wish I waited until after Mania to watch TakeOver, because I honestly doubt that the Grandaddy of Them All will top it this year. Anyway, here's what I thought about it.
Spoilers.
I stopped doing these because it became apparent that nobody cared. However, I have too much to say about the Season 5 finale to remain quiet, ergo I create another pointless blog. These are my thoughts on the Season 5 Finale Cutie Re-Marked, and, subsequently, my thoughts on all of Season 5. (I'll keep it short).

AKA, the stupid bet about mixing the two dumbest ideas he could think up that Jim Butcher laughed all the way to the bank on.
Those two ideas/old chestnuts—for the initiated, being, Whatever Happened To The Lost Legion—an alternative history work-horse whipped way, way post going rancid—and Pokemon.
I don't have that much to say about Skulduggery this time. Don't get me wrong, it's still good. But it's...
Well, honestly, I was really tempted to just copy my thoughts on #1, and I'm not sure if anybody would have actually noticed. Great action, great snark, creepy villains, too much lame-tastic Valkyrie Cain, not nearly enough awesome title-character skeleton-man.
No spoilers, just thought I'd mention I'd seen it, and had a wonderful time doing so.
Heck, even thought it was better then the first one. And given how out of the left field that one came, I really wasn't expecting the strange space-lighting to strike a second time for even Marvel.
Highly recommended, if you're in a silver screen type mood this weekend.
A tad late, but only because I was on vacation. Now that I have returned, I'm free to give you my thoughts on Slice of Life. And, oh boy, do I have some thoughts on this one.
Spoilers. You have been warned.
Or 'The Saddle Row Review,' since there seems to be some mixed signals on what the official name of E#09-S#06 is.
Caught a live-stream for once... and wowzers, does America have obnoxious commercial breaks. One right after the opening song, really?
Still... You know the drill.
SO, I just saw the first episode of the Dresden TV-series. ‘Birds Of A Feather.’
My thoughts beyond the cut.
Written in no particular order while watching, so spoilers and a bit jumbled.
I'm still not seeing the ZOMG, THE HORRORZ fan-rage. Keeps being a decent show if one clearly in the shadow of a titan.
Making Murphy a brunette of all damn things just keeps being weird, though. Was a bottle of blond dye really a bank buster? Except that one details she's quite decent, so it just baffles me they got something so small but obvious wrong.
Nobody asked, but here ya go My thoughts on this week's episode, Party Pooped.
Spoilers. You've been warned.
I preemptively belittled this episode, thinking that it couldn't compare with its predecessor. I was wrong, because this episode is probably just as good. Here are my thoughts on this week's down-right hilarious episode, The One Where Pinkie Pie Knows.
Spoilers. You have been warned.
I was in a god-awful mood this week. I was so pissed that even my inner monologues and conversations with myself were littered with swear words. I was really hoping this episode would raise my spirits. it most certainly did. Here are my thoughts on this week's episode, Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep?
Spoilers. You've been warned.
