Friendship is Card Games: Tell Your Tale, Part 3 · 12:15pm Jun 5th, 2022
As stated last week, enough new content arrived for two consecutive G5 card blogs. Crazy, I know. Let’s see what Maretime Bay’s been up to when not being consumed by the void.

Back to Tell Your Tale this week, and the seasonal/holiday continues off and on. Let’s start catching up to the current point on the calendar.
So, this is a rather interesting circumstance. My math on Tell Your Tale releases was off, and I can (and will) in fact do the penultimate TYT blog this week…but there’s a catch.
The summer of G5 continues with another batch of Tell Your Tale (though given the comic backlog, I’ll won’t get to the next G4 content until the end of September. There’s a climate change joke in there somewhere.) Let’s dive in.
With the last of the 3D content covered, we reach the second layer of my backlog, all the Tell Your Tale shorts and comics that have come out in the interim. Like the tortoise ahead of Achilles, some of what I’ll cover hasn’t even come out yet. Let’s start catching up.
How goes, everyone? Another blog comes this month, and this one is...bitter-sweet, if I had to describe it.
In a previous musing post, I covered the idea of pony playing cards. In another, I discussed magic pony sports. Both of these are the sort of things influenced by tradition and simplicity. Today, I'd like to discuss a type of game that is the opposite: something that is explicitly constructed and designed. That's right, today we're discussing the cultural fixture that is the Trading Card Game.
This was actually supposed to be Read It Later Reviews #50, but I just posted a Read It Now set yesterday and then Bad Horse came out with a story a day later. As this set had an empty space it in, Read It Later #49 got bumped down the line. So this set actually contains four older stories, plus Bad Horse’s new one.
I’m cheating a bit. Deal with it.

Time to ring in the new year… through end-of-year holiday content. Ah, the joys and consequences of a backlog. Let’s get started.
In case you guys didn't know, Professor Plum wrote an article a few days ago about how life could use a bit more positivity in it. Honestly, I'm inclined to agree with that - and when i say "inclined to agree," I mean "Holy crap I'm really thankful somebody is making a post like this."
My goal for this week is to get at least one set of Read it Now Reviews done, one set of Read It Later Reviews done, one new story posted, one piece of original fiction sent off to a publisher, and one video game to be played.
So far, I’m at one for five.

'allo Fimfic, yesterday was Homestuck Day! Happy Homestuck Day to all the Vriska Stans in the audience!
But also; it was my birthday.
I would have posted yesterday, but I've been in a daze for the last two days because yesterday was also the day I got my second vaccination shot.
