My G10 Spindown dice just arrived in the mail today!

I got mine from the Kickstarter project, but now that that's over, you can also buy them on Etsy.
The dice themselves are very light, I suspect they may not be solid. The cradles are injection-molded (the prototypes for displaying on the Kickstarter were 3D-printed).
Realized I haven't made a declaration of intent for this one yet. Consider this that: Plague permitting, I'll be attending Everfree Northwest this year. Definitely looking forward to seeing familiar names and the faces attached to them.
So, HUGE news on the MTG front today. We just got spoilers, and hoo boy, are they crazy. Especially of note to this crowd in particular is the new land called Mirrorpool. That can copy creatures. There needs to be a horse in the set for this purpose.
Random pointless blog because I am making simply to share something that has captured my heart. Tis a metapor as much as artwork or playing card. For it is entirely useless and utterly shit for use, yet it looks incredibly cool.
I have to find a way to put a cyborg-zombie-werewolf into a story. Goblin necromancer-engineer using worgen corpse in Treacherous Mists, or something!
If you haven't been paying attention to the Magic: the Gathering community, you may be unaware that there's a bit of a reality show going on at Wizards of the Coast right now, namely the Great Designer Search 3. The grand prize is a six-month internship at WotC... for a given definition of "internship," since it actually pays better than my current job.
First, a bit of background: The Seer's Parables are set on the plane of Shadowmoor, which is basically a universe of especially grim fairy tales. Lorwyn is the sanitized Disney version. Shadowmoor is the one where even the good little boys and girls get eaten; it just happens to them slightly later.
In any case, I was rereading them just a bit ago when I was struck by something familiar:

A bit ago, Flutterpriest reached out to me for a possible Barcast side project, using Spelltable to play Magic: the Gathering with other folks on Fimfic. Some hiccups later, we have the first episode of any!
Dueling Keyboards, my short story anthology, has updated with a new entry based on my "Ravnica with ponies" setting. (Hence the Implicit Neighs tag.) This one was originally written on a typewriter at the Last Bronycon and subsequently expanded when I finally figured out how to end it. Here's hoping you enjoy. 
Speckle is a friend of mine with whom I've exchanged many a PM, including an idea about a Madoka Magica story built around the guilds of Ravnica. (We have the characters down, but we're kind of stalling in terms of getting the plot to gel.)
Blame/thank Zennistrad for this one. It's been far too long since I've taken a look at the exploits of Ditzy Planeswalker. This should prove to be a fun exercise.
Hello everyone, I'm an avid magic the gathering player (mtg) and I know there's alot of yuh gi oh and pokemon and even one for bakugan but not for magic the gathering sorcery I was thinking what if instead of a deck it's a spell book full of the "cards" and during a game instead of drawing cards the spells show up signaling that they are playable, spike would be the main protagonist and is trying to become a powerful duelist by working his way up from the bottom.
I went onto mtgcardsmith for the first time today and turned Bolt into a card! I used the cover art for One Bolt Moving Forward, as I think that's when he's looked his absolute most heroic. What do you think? Of course, I made sure to include Hoodwinked MCShelster's name as the illustrator. It's only fair that I do so.
I am kind of having a moment right now. Ponies: The Galloping 2, a set of four out of the Mane Six (Twilight and Rarity were part of PtG 1) in actual Magic card form, is currently on sale. As part of that, the Arena online client has several pony-based cosmetics available.
