Friendship is Card Games: Trixie and the Razzle-Dazzle Ruse

We return to the pony novels this week, and hopefully a better showing from the titular mare. Last time we saw Trixie in one of these, G. M. Berrow was channeling the fandom circa 2011 and making her and Gilda the designated antagonists of the piece. Let’s see what she’s up to this time.

Friendship is Card Games: Kenbucky Roller Derby #2 & #3

We return to the cutthroat world of G5 roller derby, where Sunny’s trying her darndest to prove she’s more than just a casual skater… and has assembled one of the most ragtag teams of misfits this side of the Mighty Ducks in the process. Let’s see how the story’s developed from there.

No, not mine. The Barcast's. The last call is currently under way, and if you want to hear my part in the grand interview lightning round, you can tune in at 4:20 Eastern/1:20 Pacific (about an hour from this posting.)

Yes, 4:20 on 4/20. No, I do not partake. Sorry to disappoint. :derpytongue2:

    Pest List

Just something I whipped together for fun one day, set to a possibly recognizable tune, all intended in good fun. And hey, given that I derived my Fimfic handle from a misremembered detail of the Mikado, it's only appropriate. :derpytongue2:

Friendship is Card Games: d20 Pony, Ch. 9, Pt. 1

Goodness, it’s been almost two years since I last checked in on Trailblazer’s adventures. IDW putting out comics almost as quickly as I could review them will do that, especially given all of the G5 video media coming out concurrently.

A bit ago, Flutterpriest reached out to me for a possible Barcast side project, using Spelltable to play Magic: the Gathering with other folks on Fimfic. Some hiccups later, we have the first episode of any! The game features the two of us, Bugsydor, and Akoum.

Spoileriffic highlights include:

More graveyard hate than a cremation convention.
Crested Sunmare going from Celestia to Daybreaker over the course of the game.
Bugsy suffering negative casualties from a weaponized singularity
Celestia finally being stopped by her greatest weakness: Performance art.
Me waxing Talmudic on the intricacies of Magic rules.
• And finally, the power of friendship, rainbows, and dei ex machinae triumphing... over the player who got a bunch of ponies. Along with two of the sweetest words in the Magic player's lexicon: Fblthp lethal.

Also, my apologies for my corner of the screen. I couldn't actually see my own camera feed for much of the experience, which no doubt explains a lot. :twilightsheepish:

Dude, that's awesome. I love MTG, I don't play anymore though.

Nice! Can I get in next game? I'd love to play with my Princess Twilight Sparkle theme deck with people who will actually get the references at some point.

yessir! I'll send you a message :)

Hey, I'm in this one!

One of my favorite parts was saying the phrase "This denotes that there is one horse."

It was a very fun game, and I'm not just saying that because I was in the lead for most of it before I got zapped by friendship lasers.

Would love to play, but I don't have the camera setup. I have a Rarity deck and a Pinkamena, Pain Artist deck with lots of altered cards.

See, you made the classic villain mistake of allowing team friendship to live. :rainbowwild:

Holy crap. I need to get this asap.
Out of curiosity, what format are you playing?

5423949
You can make a stand for a camera phone out of fat pack or other cardboard boxes you may have available.

5423991
Commander. Which is why it's more than two hours long. :derpytongue2:

I've only had one opponent to play against for more than a year. I have been dying for something new.
Is it required to have an mlp themed deck?

5424004
Not at all. The Crested Sunmare snowball was a hilarious/terrifying coincidence.

5424011
I'm that case, assuming I'm not working at the time, got room for one more?

From someone who is a bit of a "stay in the shadows" type on internet, I would love to get in on this. Sadly I don't have an MLP theme deck, so if that's a requirement...

5425266
Decidedly not. I don't even have an MLP themed playmat. Celestia's army of indestructible earth ponies was a happy coincidence.

I'd love to join in on a future session of this! I don't have any MLP theme decks; I think my most recent Commander deck is Alexander Clamilton where I tried to find quotes from the Hamilton score for every card. But I do have another couple of dozen Commander decks so I'm sure I could find one of an appropriate power level (which in my experience is the big problems with people from different groups playing casual Magic together).
