Hello readers! Welcome to another Monday installment of Being a Better Writer! I hope you all had a pretty good weekend, and that you’re ready for the week ahead.
This contains significant spoilers for To Bellenast. Please don't read this if you haven't read through Chapter 13.
Caution!
This blog post is kind of dumb and contains Pictures of Pretty Honses!
Welcome, readers, to the year 2020, and a new series of Being a Better Writer! We’re back at last, ready to tackle all new topics of writing every Monday. So kick back and get ready to talk writing!
It's very simple, and it's the very same reason I write fics in the first place... because the characters did something or acted in a way that I do not approve of and refuse to tolerate, plus, as they CHANGE, they lose more and more insight of who they used to be, and often turn into MORONS like Twilight Sparkle.
A FRIEND IN DEED...
She knows that Cranky Doodle is the exception to making friends (at the time) and encourages Pinkie not to bother him anymore
Hey readers! Welcome back!
I know. It’s been a slow week from your perspective. The last major post here was another Being a Better Writer post last Monday. I said nothing else all week.
Greetings from Alaska, readers! Yes, that's right, I'm home visiting my parents for a few days. And old friends. It's fantastic. I flew in Sunday morning, after a nice long layover in Seattle which was most of my Saturday. As usual, the trip to my hometown was roughly a full day's journey. That was okay, however, as I'd brought my WiiU with me.
Afternoon readers! Welcome back to another installment of Being a Better Writer! We’ve got a fun topic to discuss today, and I’m looking forward to talking about it, but as usual we’ve got the news to discuss.
Welcome back, writers! You’re here! And I’m … well, not. Sort of.
Welcome back readers! It’s Monday, which means it’s time for Being a Better Writer! But first, some quick news. Really quick. Then today’s topic.
You know, it’s almost impressive it took this long for a direct post on this topic to come up.
Hello lads! Just been working on what the main character looks like. As shameless as an insert can be, I couldn’t give two flyin fucks! xD
Anyways, I hope to finish it this week. I’ve just started on the next chapter. Hope you all are havin a brilliant day.
Cheers!
Hello readers! Welcome back to Unusual Things and Being a Better Writer! I trust you all had a fairly good weekend?
So, I just went to my feed, saw that The Abyss wrote a blog saying that Knighty and Xaq added 70 new character tags. I checked, and there's so many!!! Just go check it out, I don't know what character ISN'T there now!!! Just tell me who isn't there, you'll find that a difficult, maybe impossible task!
I really need to know the answer. If so, why and what can I do to get better at OC/Character Creation? Not every OC in general is bad, right?
Ive added several original characters in my stories, so here are descriptions for them in case you don't want to read my stories in order or need a quick recap before reading the next story. I will add more characters to this later on via edits. The characters are in chronological order of when they're introduced.
Legend: These are for quickly describing certain attributes of a character. They're pretty obvious.
(Species)
Occupation: A job held by this character.
So a while back I posted a blog talking about a custom role playing game character sheet I was working on. 100+ hours, 6+ D&D knock of campaigns and a lot of my friends screaming at me for making them remake character sheets later... It is still not finished! YAY PROGRESS!!
But in all seriousness it is in a relatively finished state so what exactly is it?
