Instead of anything interesting, we are dragged through Theresa’s time at college. Boston College, to be exact. This is in alignment with the author’s Christian beliefs, Boston College being a Jesuit institution. We are then treated to a whole page’s worth of infodump about BC which Boutin seems to have gleaned from the introductory paragraph on the college’s wikipedia page. There is no reason for us to know any of this, unless the story concerns exactly the number of how many undergrads there
(Note: This is an updated review to include a greater discussion of spoilers, and to elaborate on one or two points I could have made clear.)
TL;DR: Though far from perfect, primarily due to the rough-around-the-edges animation, High Guardian Spice does a wonderful job in presenting its fantasy coming of age story, building on common heroic fantasy tropes to great effect.
Okay. Whew! The story’s back on track. No more interviews or BBC montages to fill in exposition. Here’s a tip for anyone who decides to write a story with a first person narrative: the entire story happens from the perspective of the narrating character. This means that there’s no room for exposition to fill in any blanks that the character might not know about. Theresa even says at the beginning of the story that she doesn’t know how some things happened because she wasn’t there, even though
Pegasus is a winged horse from Greek mythology. Depicted as a full-sized horse, he also has massive wings in order to allow him to fly. Pegasi in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic not only have flight magic, but weather manipulation magic too. How do we know it is magic? For one thing, in the season 4 finale Celestia tells us as much -- but we get clues to this fact starting from way early on in the series.

Well I'm sure some people might not like this video but I've got quite a lot of things to say on this subject.
BE WARNED, SPOILERS AHEAD
Mr. Dino and I got together to discuss Slice of Life, the one hundredth episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Hilarity is sure to ensure!
This video may not win me any friends, but it's something that needs to be said
Despite all the delays, High Guardian Spice is finally here! I will admit upfront that I have some level of bias, since I'm a non-binary fantasy nerd who loves all things magical and colourful. This show was always going to be on my radar, but has it lived up to my lofty expectations?
So in my previous post, it was all about ragging on the Rainbow Roadtrip. I don't regret anything, and I still haven't completed a full watch. Lord knows I wasn't going to waste time with that during the family reunion for the long 4th of July weekend. But I've seen how people like it, including an old friend of mine. So I
The excitement of the nuke is behind us now, so let's see what happens in the aftermath.
With absolutely no lead in, Theresa wakes up in a hospital with Prime Minister Peter Blair standing next to her bed. She correctly guesses that the secret of HAL is out.
Scene Rating Scale:
9/9: Flawless! Outstanding scene!
8/9: Great scene! Totally Rewatchable!
7/9: Pretty good. Not as perfect as I expected though.
6/9: Decent. Doesn’t ruin the movie/episode.
5/9: Mid.
4/9: Pretty bad. One of the weakest scenes of the movie/episode.
Story review #14: Apple Bond Motherhood —By Lonely Fanboy48
Character’s:
Applebloom: Cute and mostly in character
Pear butter: She is a hard character to judge since the story is about her interacting with Applebloom and we’ve never seen her interact with kids before especially her own. But I like the direction Lonely Fanboy48 took her in for the context of the story.

Story Review #24 A Shimmering Heartbreak —by Spyder27
Reward for winning a competition in the Sunset X Villain competition group and a continuation of the previous story I reviewed making this the logical next step plus I kinda wanted to see where this went.
Disclaimer:
I recommend reading the story and the first one as well along with Story review #23 since this is kind of a continuation of that review since it’s the same saga.

Story review #26 Milkshakes, Marionettes, and Midnight —by EileenSaysHi
Characters:
Twilight Sparkle: I love her characterization in this story so much it is so incredibly in canon but it somehow makes her more human the way she tries to check on the Milkshakes or tries walking to the bathroom to avoid confrontation and blames everything on herself being weak is wonderfully written. I also love her awkward Adorakble dynamic with shiny.
