Sunset Shimmer:
Poor shimmy in this story she is going through it but then again that’s half her stories on the site. But still it sucks to see her in a abusive relationship and it hurts to see her not leaving the situation but I also understand her a lot in this story the desire that maybe if you do better or they fix the behavior it’ll be better and you can be together again. It’s situation I’ve experienced so it sucks to see someone else fictional or not experience it. Overall though she is a very well done character writing for the person on the bad end of a toxic relationship.
Day-Breaker: just the worse even though she clearly cares she is too damaged/toxic to have a healthy relationship at this point in time. And although you hope she can improve or get help she is stuck doing the same thing to her Ex again and again and again making an unhealthy and awful situation for them both. A very realistic version of the manipulative/seductive type of abuser.
Premise: A well thought up approach to the toxic Ex genre.
Grammar and punctuation: No obvious errors that I saw in my read through or secondary read through.
Dialogue: pretty good felt like a real exchange between these types of characters/people!
Flaws: This story is kind of hard to read for me specifically to read because I have experienced this kind of thing and it brings back memories, and I do think the conflict moves and escalates a little quicker then It should.
Highlights: Not to be repetitive but it really hits the nail on the head with how the characters act/how that kind of relationship can be.
But as always those are just my 2 cents and I recommend you check out the story yourself and form your own opinion.
