Sunset’s been in college for a couple years, and made a lot of mistakes, but none were as harmful as breaking up with Daybreaker. The girl didn’t let her of out of her sight before, so why would she after that? Especially given how they just so happened to be roommates...

However, after a particularly irritating day, Sunset finally gets fed up enough to try and fight the other girl off, to less than stellar results.

So, that's it? Thought it would lead up to them getting back together eventually?

Or is Daybreaker just too abusive, toxic, and unforgiving?

I mostly just wanted to restrain myself on this story.
I didn’t want to fall into the trap of having things end all happily, because I feel that happens too often.
This is an abusive relationship, and I’m mot going to try and sugarcoat that with romance, so it really has to stand on its own.

Perhaps there could be a better future in store for them, but it’d take a lot more time than I have to actually do Daybreaker’s healing justice.

See, the cliche thing here would have been to use Chrysalis. The obsessiveness, focus on sex and seduction, etc. It's all her M.O. , what I appreciate, however, is that you've twisted the obsession into a mirror of Celestia. She always wants what's best for "her little ponies," and it's clearly on display here. Daybreaker just *can't* fathom being wrong.

Thank you.
Honestly, I just started with the basic former relationship between the two characters, and added onto that the obsessive nature that fit what I knew of Daybreaker.

The problem was Daybreaker wouldn't leave Sunset alone. When Sunset confronted her about it, Daybreaker proved she could do whatever she wanted, but she didn't. She chose to do what Sunset wanted. That's the resolution.
