Sunburst has been described as the pony that knows everything about magic, yet he is untalented in casting spells. But when a certain tragedy befell upon somepony he knows, can he successfully cast the most important spell in his life by himself?

A little emotional fic I wrote to improve myself at writing. Do point out my mistakes constructively if I made any.

Starlight isn't a child person. But Sunburst is.

She was not good enough for him.

That was the thought that stabbed through her mind as she watched Sunburst play with Flurry Heart, gently playing with the toddler in front of him, seeming enamored by him as they together danced around the Hearths Warming tree, the younger filly leading her husband around and pointing at the ornaments she put up.

Starlight was never like that with young kids.

Or what it means to be a parent.

After years of being a failure, of watching his life spiral out of control, and of losing all hope of ever being happy with his life again, Sunburst comes to a decision. It's a decision that far too many ponies make in similar circumstances, but he's determined to go through with it all the same. Hopefully, Sunburst can realize the mistake he's making before it's too late.

A ponified telling of real events in my life. I decided to write this as a way to work through some of my own feelings and to possibly share some perspective on why a person might attempt to kill themselves, in light of certain recent events. Also to hopefully provide some perspective and warning for those who might be thinking of taking similar actions.

Sunburst, a student at Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns, has been nostalgic for his old life in Sire's Hollow with Starlight Glimmer. Comforted by only his memories, he attempts to rebuild his bridge with her by writing a letter. There's something more he wants to say, but he can't find the words.

Double Diamond is convinced he and Starlight had a thing going on, unbeknownst to everyone else while she led their town. He can’t rationalize why she chose Sunburst and forgot all about the bond they had shared. He tries to move on but his feelings keep making him miserable the more he tries to secretly hide and kill them for the sake of the couple.
