    New New Cover

Soooo, due to popular demand, the old cover has returned, until I have made a better one. Thankfully I can still use the artwork, just without the text. But don't worry, you guys have your cute Luna back.

    New Chapter!

    Alright guys!

Quick update. I have started to do 500 words a day, and that has worked really well for me so far. My hope is my story will be done Sunday, if everything goes smoothly. Then I will pass it along to SoloBrony, who will hopefully use his magic powers of editing to make is smoother to read for you all!

    Am I dead?

    No.

    Hello.

To answer the question, no I am not dead. I just wanted to reach out to you guys, and give you a quick update on everything. As some of you might have noticed, there is no new chapter yet, and for that I am really sorry. My life has been busy as of late, and it has been hard for me to find the time and peace of mind I need to just sit down and focus on writing.

Lessons Learned (King: The Beginning) · 6:37pm Jun 16th, 2022

Like one of my former blogs said, it is sometimes fun to look back.

Spero will forever hold a special place in my heart, as this was my first big breakthrough. I remember writing three chapters, I had to go to Poland for a few days. I had a plan to release one chapter early morning, and the next the day after the next, and the same on the last day of the trip. That way I could keep up momentum, but I had no idea how fast the story would gain traction. :rainbowderp:

I released it early morning in October, thinking if I was lucky, I might get a few views. Instead I got a lot of messages, lots of watchers and likes. I was pretty excited, and kinda bummed I was stuck in a bus on my way to Poland without being able to really engage much. Lol. :rainbowlaugh:

Like with Fallen Knight, this story provided me with a lot of learning opportunities. Looking back on it now, I can still see the vison I had for the story, but also the many mistakes I made. While I had hit what I wanted, I hadn't taken a lot into consideration, and If I am being honest it was a mess for me. There is a lot I want to redo in the reboot, because I really do want to finish the story. :applecry:

I simply knew too little of the show at the time, and had to many ideas in the air that clashed, or got entangled. Sadly, I just got tired, and burned myself out. I have one rule, I ever force myself to write, because then my heart won't be in it, and I won't be happy with the result. I hate canceling stories, and it always take me some time to actually do it. However at times it is just better to let go, and admit you just can't regain the focus. :ajsleepy:

With King: The Beginning it was just too much at one time, too many plots and ideas. I still love the story, but looking through it now, I can see why I got burned out so quickly. Not to mention the release rate, most of the chapters were released in one single month! :pinkiegasp:

However I will get back to it once I've finished some of the stories that are close to the end. I have terrible impulse control at times, it is just a bad habit of mine. I just love to share ideas fast. :pinkiehappy:

However sadly I have to come to terms with the fact I need to purge some stories, and give myself more space to breathe, then try again if the passion is still there. There definitely are for King: The Beginning, but it has to be planned better. I have to use this art at some point, right?? :trollestia:

I wonder if the reboot will be about Twilight having a son xd

A reboot is all I needed to here, plus pictures, good luck, I look forward to it!

you have my attention for sure. Never read your older works and never even knew about the original writing so reading this reboot after your plethora of story experience and knowledge now will be a fun time. Looking forward to it!

Well like they say "Back to the old drawing board"

I definitely have read your other stories the only one one I seen so is the unfinished one about a soldier. I hope you will finish before next year.

To the author - OMG thanks for the updated info on 'future' rebooted adaption of king: the beginning!
let me just say this i for one loved the original version because it was totally different & stood out from all the other fics i've read throughout the years but i understand why it cancelled cause 'too many plots going on at the same time' along with hectic/infrequent updates.
also you did it all in one month😮 no wonder you got burned out so easily, geez!:facehoof:

p.s: anyways i'm gonna publish a fic somewhat soon it'll have the same paring only a bit shorter and with a different scenario (as for the story i originally intended to release needs some editing & chapters written out)

love those art pics btw especially the guards dressed up or designed to look like British soldiers from colonial era (Please correct me if i'm wrong!) while prince blueblood being dragged away or held up in the throne room/court room for questioning?
