So I haven't posted anything since August 6th. How have you all been?
Me? Oh, I quit teaching. That was a thing that I'll probably talk about at some point. I also got into a relationship, broke up, got into a different relationship, broke up, and got into a relationship again. I probably won't talk about that. It's been a thingTM though, as you can tell. Still, that's not really the thing this blog post is about. The point is I finally...finally finished that story I was writing.
Mind if I talk about it?
This story is a sequel to Secondhand Laughter (which in itself is a sequel to The Opening Act, which in turn is a sequel to Under Her Spell with a bunch of other stories in between). It is titled A Solid Foundation and focuses on Maud Pie, coming home from graduate school for winter break. Things are changing in her life, you see, and this trip allows her to relax in a place where nothing changes while surrounded by a family who always sticks together.
Or it was. Funny how things don't always stay the way you remember them, isn't it?
The Pie family features front and center, along with Trixie, Caramel, and few other familiar faces from the Who We Become series—all of which were a blast to write. Not only that, but I get to expand on some events from previous stories with Krickis' blessing, specifically Thicker Than Water. All things considered, I'm very happy with what I managed to do in this fic.
It comes out on Friday and will release another chapter on Saturday and two chapters on Sunday.

Oh-ho, what's this? The prep is back? I don't know this series of stories, but I may just have to change that.

If you're interested in giving it a further read, Prep's Under Her Spell is actually the next story in the series that you haven't dug into yet! I hadn't intended to delve into the side stories, mostly because doing so would mean it would take a lot longer to get to the main material and I'm very interested in getting to Playing House. But thedarkprep has garnered my curiosity, so I've added Under Her Spell to my lists.
