Wow... it's been a while.
So... yeah. Where have I been? I've been at home. And I didn't realize it until this weekend, but I've been pretty unhappy since this whole mess with the pandemic began.
I moved to a new city right before it started, and I was isolated for several months, only managing to make it home a few times. Then, a year later I moved back home and, after a few months, into my grandmother's house after renting it out for a few years. Once moving in, I found that they hadn't taken as good of care of it as I hoped, so I still have a long list of things to do.
My work is swamping me. I've had twenty hours of overtime every month for a year now (minus November and December, where we only had ten), and it looks like that's keeping up for a while. Adding to that, I was in a fender bender, needed my car in the shop for months since it was new and had hard to find parts. Now, less than six months later, I was hit from behind again. Thankfully, I'm not at fault again, so insurance is paying, but it's adding to the stress.
So, yeah. I didn't know how burnt out I was until I went to HarmonyCon this weekend. Being around others again, seeing all the positivity... man, it was like a jump start. I feel better than I've felt in a long time. That chapter of About Last Month I just published? It's been sitting in my Google Drive since November, if that gives you any indication of how overwhelmed by things I've been.
I'm hoping I'll be publishing normally again. But please cut me some slack if I don't. And please don't send me messages asking when the next chapter of whatever will be. It will be out when it's done, and I really don't need it.
It's great to see "About Last Month" updated Darth! I'm looking forward to seeing how you adapt everything that has happened in canon, specifically a certain repenting unicorn and Twilight's future. AJ might end up being the consort of a future ruler! I'll check out the chapter soon!
Sorry to hear that man. I know the stress not for the same reasons as you but I know of them. I hope things get better and work lets up on you soon.

Glad to see you back! I am glad you had a good weekend, unfortunately for me I spent most of Saturday sick and today was spent recovering.

Man I've missed you! Seeing an update for About Last Month was a surprise, but a welcome one.
I am very sorry to hear about all the stress you have been under because of this pandemic. I am glad to hear you are starting to feel better though. If you start publishing normally again that will be great, but your own health should always come first.
I will make sure to keep you in my prayers.

I know my son was connected to some of you in ways my generation doesn't understand and I want you all to know that site was something that brought him a great deal of joy

He was one of the reasons I even watched the show at all. Reading his fanfiction was kind of like a gateway. And for all the ups and downs, lots of retroactive downs tbh, I don’t regret that. I don’t regret reading them either. And I’m sorry. His stories brought me joy too. And while I obviously didn’t know him…I don’t know. I’m sorry
