A My Little Pony Inspired Series, but with Faeries instead of Ponies! · 5:49pm Jun 28th, 2021

Hello every pony. It’s been a while.

A lot has happened for me, though I won’t go into too much detail about my personal life (it’s boring anyway), so instead I’ll just cut to the chase.

To all of the wonderful readers who have read and favorites my stories I want to thank you. It’s been ages since I’ve done anything Pony (or Korra) related. And though I have long since retired from writing more Little Pony Legend series, I must confess that the spirit of the series lives on in an original project I have been trying to get off the ground for years now. It’s gone through rewrites, retooling and all kinds of worldbuilding notes that have made me loose half of my sanity. It’s been a seriously stressful process and nobody puts more pressure on me than ME. I’m always criticizing every tiny mistake my make and I have a tendency to obsess over making something perfect or at the very least make sense. You can all see why it’s been such a hassle to get my work out there.

One thing i felt has worked for me so far is to view the story as a spiritual successor to MLP. When I think of the heart and soul of MLP, sprinkled in with the aspects of ATLA and LoK, I feel a little less stressful. Now, I’m still debating on what I want to do with this story. Obviously, I want to share it and recently I am considering (key word CONSIDERING! It’s still undecided) to start a blog where I post chapters of the series.

But first, I want people to get to know my story a little bit more, and I’ve struggled a lot with trying to find an audience. All I know is that my story is a high fantasy, coming-of-age, wholesome adventure series filled with magic, comedy, friendship and family. I draw a lot of inspiration from both the Avatar franchise, My Little Pony, Winx Club and the Chronicles of Narnia. The main characters are all faeries, which in the context of the world is a universal term for any and all mythical creatures; elves, dryads, jinn, reptilians, trolls, undines, centaurs, merfolk, kitsune, satyrs etc. The characters and world are based off of various folklore and mythologies from a variety of cultures (respectfully, of course), and yes that includes cryptic animals as well.

At the heart of it, the story is really about the assemble cast and their journey from childhood into adulthood as they uncover mysteries, travel their world and learn about life, love, family, truth and faith.

I’ve already written drafts of chapters 1-3, and I’m outlining the overall plot for the volumes. The series will be divided into three volumes, (or “seasons”).
The Mystic Knights Chronicles:
Volume 1: Seelie Academy
Volume 2: the Seven Keys
Volume 3: Into the Otherworld

But I still want to hear other people’s opinion on it. Would you be interested in such an idea? If so, why? What are your ideas of a spiritual adaptation of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic? Please share your thoughts. I would love to hear from you.

I for one would like to read it, I am very interested in knowing what the story is all about, and who the main characters are in the series. You know how much I love your work, and how much I would give to read about it.

Still retired from it. Sorry.:applecry:

But its not going anywhere:twilightsmile:

My adaption for mlp Friendship is magic is in an alternate universe that happens after mlp season 5 and the mlp movie with some changes as well. It all happened when I had posted my own mlp story 'A Case of Mystery and Love' in 2016 when I watched the movie Zootopia. Eventually, I found myself working on my own characters with new adventures for Twilight and her friends. I love your stories you've inspired me to do my own universe as well. I look forward to what story you will work on.

Alright, new stories. For me, I'm so interested in in knowing your stories and how it goes, and it is the great one you have giving us that nobody ever did considering. I love your work and I would do anything yo read more about it.

I'd be interested in such an idea. I think a spiritual adaption to My Little Pony would be very interesting and new for everyone to read and enjoy.

I think it sound a fantastic idea that you make your own fantasy story out that I would love read it sometime. Also, I love your works so much that I keep on reading them again and again cause it made so much fun, happy and the friendship that bring out the smile on my face.

If by references you mean close friends of mine who can recommend my services, I can throw in a couple names from the people I work with:

Dinodisneylover1
Phantom-Dragon
Tim Ribbert
Extremeenigma02
Melody Song
SunTwi06
Forgetful

Ask any of these people. They know my area of expertise very well, a majority of whom I work with on several of their projects. Well by my count, 'five' of them I've been an editor for but they'd definitely vouch for my services.

Slight edit:

Unless by 'references' you mean my 'personal' work. I should warn you that most of what I do here is mostly blogs (Especially for the up and coming movie). But I don't just write short and to the point blogs. I try to add a bit of personality, with images based on what I like to symbolize my 'odd' sense of humor. But it also helps for promotional purposes and I do have a 'slight' following. At least about sixty something blogs I've done over a short period of time.

I hope to actually do my 'own' work someday. But... I have no experience posting stories here.
