    Tradition

This one's particular poignant. Singing this on January 1 is a twelve year tradition at this point.

    So fun facts
    1) Did you know you don't have to be epileptic to have seizures?
    2) and if you have a seizure lasting longer than five minutes you just straight out have a 20% chance of dying in the next thirty days, apparently

Two Martyrs Fall for Each Other

Here’s where I talk about this new story, 40,000 words long and written in just over a week. This is in no way to say it’s rushed, quite the opposite; It wouldn’t have been possible if I wasn’t so excited to put it out. I would consider A Complete Lack of Jealousy from All Involved a prologue more than a prequel, and suggested but not necessary reading.

    Commissions Open: An Autobiography

Commission rates $20USD per 1,000 words. Story ideas expected between 4K-20K preferable. Just as a heads up, I’m trying to put as much of my focus as I can into original work for publication, so I might close slots quickly or be selective with the ideas I take. Does not have to be pony, but obviously I’m going to be better or more interested in either original fiction or franchises I’m familiar

    Blinded by Delight

My brain diagnosis ended up way funnier than "We'll name it after you". It turned out to be "We know this is theoretically possible because there was a recorded case of it happening once in 2003". It turns out that if you have bipolar disorder and ADHD and PTSD and a traumatic brain injury, you get sick in a way that should only be possible for people who have no

    EFNW

I planned on making it this year but then ran into an unfortunate case of the kill-me-deads. In the moment I needed to make a call whether to cancel or not, and I knew I was dying from something but didn't know if it was going to be an easy treatment or not.

A Beautiful Night · 2:24pm Oct 10th, 2020

I'll be writing about this a bit more coming up. If you've got anything you want to ask, now's the time.

The hard part about the ending wasn't in the writing of it. It was believing in it. Thank you, all.

There was a point that I believed it would never be finished. Are you done with ponies forever, now?

well, started to read it yesterday because I thought 'if author showed his work to public - he probably put a lot of effort in finishing it'. Guess this is true, but I sadly doesn't get same feeling of 'masterpiece!' as from "Mare .." and dropped out of this train of thought ..But not before picking up this line:

"It's so hard to fight on the behalf of ponies who'd rather you didn't? Like, you know it's the right thing to do, but everybody else tells you you're wrong. "

- sums up political (and animal?) activism of today ... Even if you know some right things it feels nearly everyone else really opposed to implementing them, even if they say otherwise!

some morning thoughts, not yet connected to any bigger picture.

It seems our superstructures (corporations, giant firms, giant-anything) way outgunned human ability to voluntary put up some thinking/effort into counteracting their wrongs. Probably real reason there should be NO millionaries is like this: if each human can put aside like 1000$ / month for some urgent action, and they can freely associate up to Dunbar' number (~100 individuals?) - then $ 1 M in one place is really like eating plutonium and pretend it doesn't harm you. May be such 1$M projects still can be carried out, under strict rules of not using known or even newly-discovered psychological loopholes (like modern politics and advetrizement do eagerly). It seems for human (++) oriented civilization we really should respect our limitations, not just go forward with unrealistic (for now) 'oh, if 10 000 of workers want to influence course of firm they all surely can come together and just do it', political ideology, because this is not how humans demostrably work, it gives rise to some other ghost of hierarchical structures, and we are weak at fighting/resisting those ghosts, at least for now. In other words modern superstructures can't be handled by human psychology, and better to bee scaled down (while we still have computers and some modern ideas about organization). Of course both 'Corporation-as-dumb-AI' and individuals in system who apparently benefit from current situation will try their best worst to stop any change ...

Honestly, probably. I'll be moving to Offprint in the future, I think, and still working on fiction though.

Would you mind linking us to it as well? I'd still love to follow you!

As for questions, hm. Only one's really coming to mind here at the moment:
It doesn't seem likely, but I'm kind of wondering if, through some strange series of events, Photo Finish being a unicorn was somehow linked to the pod of this timeline. I'm guessing not, though?

And congratulations on finishing it. :)

No that was me totally forgetting she was an earth pony for a hot second while writing and missing that in the edit

Other ponies I forgot if they had a horn or not and had to Google: Dotted Line, Pony Joe, Saffron Masala

Oh, sorry. :D

...Ah. And them, I now notice I don't remember about (except Pony Joe, pretty sure he's a unicorn) and didn't even think about. Eh. Well, sorry.
