Today I learned that my dear friend Mythy or as you would know him TheMyth has passed beyond our world... I don't really know what to say... I wasn't expecting this...Not at all and I have spent much of the last hour or so since learning in tears... He was a dear beloved friend and I am devastated that I won't hear any more of his

Wear A Mask · 10:56pm Jul 28th, 2020

Really hope I don't need to tell my wonderful friends and followers this... But please wear a mask when you leave the house! Remember you aren't just protecting yourself but everyone around you!

in april when quarantine was issued originally, hadn't stopped wearing one since. i also never left absolute quarantine either.

Glad to hear it! The only reason Foal's Half and I go out is to grocery shop. I've got a very high-risk mom that we live with. My goal is to get through this with her still with us.

a good goal. in june i went to the store to shop, but this month, much like april and may, dad offered to go shopping for me again. been ordering food a lot more since april too...

I always wear my mask when I go out, as much for me as for everyone else.

I wear a mask as I work, and I wear a mask as I am required to do so. But when I'm outside, especially in this summer's heat, and I'm not near anyone, I'll remove it. Wearing a mask while in a car is, while pointless, is up to the wearer. As a medical professional, I can tell you just how unreliable cloth and droplet masks are. They are security theater (making one 'feel' safer than actually doing much of anything). N95 masks, as well as PAPR masks, are the ones that should be worn if one is wanting to avoid any airborne precautions. As long as people follow the guidelines of keeping away from others (large gatherings of ANY sort) and staying home while sick or are vulnerable they'll be fine.

Fair enough, I don't wear mine in the car or just outside either. Only within stores.

No, it does NOTHING. I will not give in to fear and paranoia

Well, there is an argument if you’re, say, going golfing with friends, and you’re going to be around people all day. Hard to eat at a restaurant-
It sucks for me because that’s where I make my money, and I get both are more social than anything :/
But good dam it! It’s like they want to get sick, and don’t even get me started where whenever it’s practical to wear one >.>
My dad once scolded me for looking silly wearing a A bandanna over surgical mask For trying to be more effective and to look Cooler -/-

I like your shirt :)

There's very good evidence out there that the Wuhan Flu is not a serious threat to humanity at all and H1N1 during 2008-2009 was much deadlier (WuFlu, H1N1, MERS, and SARS are part of the same family), but there was no lockdown or international panic. There's also good reason to believe these cloth masks and most others don't work at all. The whole thing is more likely a planned panic than something to be scared of.

The only reason I go along with wearing one and try to stay home more is because I live with my parents still, who are in the 50+ age range with a bunch of comorbidities like obesity, heart disease, and diabetes. They're in the most danger of being harmed by the virus and to die from it. If dad catches it, he's guaranteed to die with how sick he is already. I don't want that and it makes them feel better and calm.

I've got a couple masks now, including a very nice one the wife made for me out of My Little Pony cloth. The only thing is she put a piece of air-conditioner fabric in it that makes it about as permeable as a plastic bag, so I'm going to do some quiet surgery on it so I don't suffocate. I found out that shoestrings make dandy mask ties if you have a larger face (like me) that make normal elastic ties try their best to pull your ears forward.

Obligatory mask story: Went to the grocery store in town, put my mask in my pocket when I got into the car so I'd be set, grabbed the limited groceries I had planned to get and noticed the mask ratio (big city) was about 100%. Was checking out before I realized I had the mask still in my pocket. Sigh. Then came to our small-town grocery store about a block away from my house, where the mask rate was about 50% (had to get lettuce).

I'm in Washington State where masks are basically mandatory. But I've been wearing mine for months due to the fact my Mom has type two diabetes, heart problems, COPD, and a recent full leg amputation. They might suck to wear but if they help keep my Mom well I'm basically willing to walk through fire.

I wear mine every time I go to work, go grocery shopping, stop for gas, or am in public or visit a family members house. The only times I don't wear it are when I am at home, or in my car. I'll take my mask off for however long I need to in order to eat or drink whenever I'm in public, or to blow my nose. But when I'm done with any of those things, I put my mask straight back on. I'll even put it back on when I'm driving through for meals. I even have several reusable masks that are machine washable as spares. And I wash them every time I do my laundry. And I always have my mask covering my mouth AND my nose (I can't stress that enough).

Far less infections than Swine Flu.

The only people that are hit hard are the elderly.

People have come forward saying many deaths by the WuFlu are padded, likely for political reasons.

Even the CDC has lied about the numbers.

We're at the point where motorcycle deaths are now listed as WuFlu instead.

Entire states and labs are reporting stupidly high numbers and mixing up results of infection and antibody tests.

Doctors who go against the narratives that this is a world ending disaster are quickly silenced and censored on big tech sites.

And on masks

In a 2013 study examining homemade masks compared to commercial face masks in the journal Disaster Medicine and Public Health Preparedness, researchers concluded that both commercial masks and homemade masks provided protection, but the surgical masks were three times more effective in blocking transmission.

“Our findings suggest that a homemade mask should only be considered as a last resort to prevent droplet transmission from infected individuals, but it would be better than no protection,” the study reads.

And thanks Obama for not restocking the N95 national stock pile.

I can show many more, but this should start activating some questions on why now do we give a damn about a virus when SARS, MERS, and Swine Flu were taken less serious.
