A New Cover for A Thief's Tale · 9:27pm May 4th, 2020
There's not really much to it other than I commissioned another cover for A Thief's Tale because I didn't like the first one all that much in the first place. I'll be keeping an eye on the post for feedback, but here's the new cover as done by a russian guy.
#SputnikNo.1 for the price of the art too. Would happily recommend. In any case, I wouldn't have given a second shit if I was ever at any point satisfied with the first one. It wasn't horrible by any means, but I just didn't like it and kinda just dealt with it. This one, however, gots the heart behind it that I was looking for. Honestly feel like it's a lot more... Apt, for the story if I may say so.
Drop a comment if I should replace the current cover with this on or if I should leave it as is. Either way, I'll probably use this as the Discord Logo
Think the first one was more apt cause a the sheer load a taint this guy runs through throughout the story.
It's a decent story, but the sheer amount of sex kinda makes the other cover mroe relevant.
This one is nice too tho, but has a more gritty, dire feel to it. Then again I'm only at chapter 40 to 50 so I'm aware of the events thus far.
Yes, some have been quite intense, but I wouldn't say gritty, I'd tag this as a full ladder above teenage girl harem fantasy and drag it to awkward imperfect male harem fantasy. Neither gritty nor serious, but mimicking said traits while pushing another narrative.
Though if you want to publish the book, or give any shade of professionalism. Then you should switch the covers to the new one. It looks more packed with content and meaning.
Yep, switch it I just looked at the guy's eyes, I don't like them. They aren't aligned with his head GET RID OF IT
I like the first cover art, part of why I marked it to read. But I actually haven't started reading this story yet, so who cares what I think.
I'm just saying with the new cover art, the summary/description wouldn't have been enough to get my attention and I wouldn't even have marked it let alone seen this in my feed.

Is that the maxmonoricon(?) I like this one, but i like more the other Twilight, this ones looks like she's evil unless it's Kauku(?)
I liked the old cover, but fair point it was long on cute and short on serious (Okay, it was reeeealy long on cute - Twilight was adorable
). This one is straight up serious and introspective, and it definitely sells the story. And heck, Twilight is still cute as a button even in the Polaroid.

Kauku no longer exists. Everything from chapter 51-73 isn't canon to me, and I really, really hope I'm the guy who decides what's canon otherwise I'm gonna do confuse. There's a reason I started doing rewrites and everything past Esteril just sucked to read every time I went through it unless it was something I wanted to specifically go back through.
I like the new one. While the older one is nice I think that the new one should be used. New story, new face
