Tiny Houses...

...are a thing. A thing I was previously unaware of. And I am utterly fascinated.

The idea is you can take your house with you if you move, and it's super-efficient in terms of utilities, et cetera, and you can build them yourself - which also means it's cheap.

A lot of people think it's batshit - including coworkers and Filly - but part of me is rather enchanted with the idea. I found this video:

While watching the homeowner talk about his living situation, I was struck by the idea that folks who do this are an awful lot like bronies. They're doing this thing that most other people think is too weird or different, but they're just happy to be living their own slightly odd life.

It would never work for me, but reading about it has inspired me to look into building my own - small, efficient - home someday.

This is really cool! When I lived in France, my apartment was about this size (and nowhere near as space efficient). It's really not so bad. I'd absolutely love to give one of these a try.
