HELP!!! · 5:15pm Sep 27th, 2019
Well, kinda. Anyone who is a member of the group, Art For Fanfiction, has probably seen this:
One of the comments said:
P.S. a part of me now wants to see the 5 other mane 6
To which I replied, "challenge accepted".
With that said, I'm wondering which military branch would be the best fit for each of the other Mane 7
So in your opinion, which branch (Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, or Navy) would be the best fit each character (Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Sunset Shimmer, and Twilight Sparkle)?
I'll check out the results and within two weeks, I'll have the pictures drawn and colored.

Applejack marine
Twilight enginer
Fluttershy and Pinkie medics
Sunset Armour
Rarity Logistics
Twilight: Cyber and Electronic Warfare Officer; Army STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Careers
Sunset Shimmer: Marines
Fluttershy: Coast Guard
Applejack: Army or Marines
Rarity: Navy (for the outfits. There's probably a better choice for her.)
Pinkie Pie: Literally any of the choices. I feel she would go where the majority of her friends go, so with this lineup, likely the Marines.
Twilight and Sunset - DARPA
Sunset - If not DARPA then the Marines (commissioned officer - she's less front line fighter and more tactical / strategic leadership material)
AJ & Pinkie - Army. Infantry for the former, Armed Forces Recreation Center morale officer fo the latter.
Fluttershy - Army Medical Specialist
Rarity - National Guard
RD looks weird with her hair like that. Sorta reminds of the Nightmare Moon AU in the Season 5 finale.
AJ: Army
Fluttershy: Coast Guard
Rarity: honestly can't see her doing military
Pinkie: Marines (demolition expert)
Sunset: Air Force
Twilight: Air Force (Nuclear Aircraft Carrier engineer)

But wouldn't an Aircraft Carrier be under the Navy's jurisdiction? Or does the Air Force have mariners that I'm unaware of?
AJ: Army
Twilight: General
Fluttershy: Medic
Pinkie: Artillery
Rarity: Weapons manufacturer

I'd say it's under both control.

I decided to look it up, and this is what I found.
Apparently, at least the US Navy has its own aircraft and aviators specially trained to operate from an aircraft carrier. So, no. Aircraft carriers are, indeed, fully under the Navy's jurisdiction. At least in the US Navy.
After taking a bit to think it over, here's what I believe each of the other Rainbooms would do in a military career.

Aircraft carriers are 100% Naval jurisdiction. Each branch, however, has their own types of aircraft.
This has a list of each branches' current aircraft.
