I'm done with fanfiction.

I thought that by taking money for writing, I could force myself to get involved in this fandom again, but it isn't the same as it used to be.
I haven't watched the show in years and don't care for the direction it went in even as early as back in 2013, but I always tried to treat my stories as a different entity. I'm getting older and I realize that this just isn't important to me anymore. It would be nice to say that I plan to finish ZatAoS someday, but I would be lying to you if I said that was going to happen. I haven't decided whether or not I'll delete my work from this site, but I won't do so without advance warning.

Thanks for everything.

well I'm sorry to see you go. is there any chance you could tell us what the plan was for the other chapters to give some closure?

I just wanna say how much ZatAoS has meant to me over the years. It's been a favorite of mine from the very beginning and I always loved coming back to reread old chapters. The feelings of joy I've felt whenever I saw a new chapter released are hard to explain without seeming over dramatic and I'd be remiss if I didn't mention how there were times that this story was the only thread that tied my to this fandom at all. While it is rather soul crushing that it won't get the conclusion that I've been waiting for for all these years I can completely understand the feeling of detatchment from the source material and the lack of desire to finish the work. We all get older and we all have times where our interests and focus shifts. I just thought I'd voice my opinion and while this news is kinda disheartening its best you do whats best for you. So long old friend, prehaps our paths will cross again someday...

Can i have your followers?

...too soon? Anyways, you were a good writer, Try your hand at other kinds of writing instead of just pony fanfic and maybe you'll find your spark again. All the best!

Let me just say your stories were one of the very few reasons I still visited this site. I do feel you when you say you haven't watched the show in a while as I lost interest around the same time as you. Nevertheless what has kept me coming back here specifically were the many spectacular writers that have given these characters more dimension than what they ever could have been given in the show and unfortunately many of those writers have expressed the same feelings over the years. As a reader this has caused frustration for me to no end, especially since they left while their stories were incomplete.

In the end, however, I know my own feelings as a reader are irrelevant when a writer feels it's time to end. Can't force anyone to write what they don't feel like is worth writing any longer and it's wrong to demand they do so.

So yeah, incredibly saddened to see you go. I wish you all the best for what's next for you and hope you'll be as good at that as you were writing your stories. :)

I'm sorry to see you leave, and happy to have met you and witness your work.

Thank you so much for what you have written, and a shame to never see what has yet to come.

Good luck on your next chapter of life.

No sense in deleting stories. Too many people still read them. Hell, I still reread ZatAoS' chapters from time to time. Leave them up for others to enjoy, and like others have said, maybe post what your plans were so there's at least some closure.

And besides, you never know, you might get the writing spark back somewhere down the line just by rereading something you hadn't in a long time. It's happened to me before.

Its a shame you are done. But that's how things goes for some people. Good Luck to were ever you wind up.

Seconding this, I would love to hear even briefly how the other stories might have gone especially Rarity.

Sad to see you go, sir. Thanks for what you have written so far.

and so fimfiction loses one of it's all time greatest writers.....I think I speak for everyone when I say we'll miss you. :fluttercry:

Whatever happens will happen. I think the fandom is slowly falling apart, like most fandoms do at some point or another. I've been slowly getting distant from it as well, though I will occasionally come back to check on stories that I think are worth reading. I wish you luck in your future endeavors, and hope you came out of this fandom a better person than when you came in. I know I did.
