Gather 'round followers. I can't remember the last time I've made one of these, so it must have been a considerable amount of time since I last made an actual update blog, I've watched too many Kalvin Garrah videos and lost track of time, or both. Anyway, I thought I should say a few things. This includes the status of Enemy of Mine and its update, some important confusion I thought I should clear up, and just general things. Find them all below the horse image.
- Okay, first, the new Spider-Man movie is aesthetic as fuck. If any of y'all have the chance, you should go see it. Those 140 animators totally made something awesome, even if you aren't a superhero movie fan.
- EDIT: OKAY SO THE REVISING OF FAVORABLE ALIGNMENT IS A GOOD THING IN PROGRESS TOO BUT OH MY GOD IS MY WORD BABY LONG. I'M AT LIKE CHAPTER 47 SO YOU CAN READ MOST OF THE UP TO DATE GOODNESS NOW.
- Writing has probably been going slow. Sorry. I don't have any new stories in progress, but that's probably not a surprise.
- Time to write has been iffy lately, but I've managed. I'm about 20k into the next update for Enemy of Mine. I've honestly hated taking so long on a story, but that doesn't mean it's not going to get finished or anything, just something I needed to mention, 'kay? Anyway, I'm like 100% certain that this will be the last chapter because HOLY FUCK also something something outline.
- I'm really proud of what I've been learning from doing this story, though. Immensely so. It wouldn't be an Ice Star story if I didn't decide to fuck around to challenge myself and shit. (Etc.)
- Long or not, I think I'll be posting a preview here sometime soon.
- It's almost 2019 please help. :<

- Life issues. (I'm kinda quiet about those, but let's just say stuff pops up and they can impact shit.)
- I've noticed an influx of some of my stories getting read recently, and I don't know why that's happening but thanks y'all.
- I always have a discord for when people want to bug me. Ask me for an invite, and come see memes, story updates, and me being a server dictator without remorse.
- Again, about my story. It's actually closer to being finished than ever before. No, I don't mean because of updates happening, I mean because assuming I don't break up chapters or some shit, I'm working on the fifth part of a six chapter arc. After that, all the interludes are done ahead of time and there's only a few (like, under five, not gonna say how many because I'm difficult) actual chapters left. My god, progress.
- So, here's kinda the 'big thing'. I realized that after so many years (yeah, think about that for a moment, I've been here years) here, there's been confusion and conflicting accounts on how I identify. I've had my pronouns debated in servers, and while conflicted might not be the word, it's been unclear to my readers exactly who I am in that regard. Part of that was intentional; I didn't really feel it was relevant to anything before, except to friends, and there's still some people on this site who can be hostile about... things. Age, gender, sexuality, etc. I think by now most people can guess that I am queer, and that's aside from the fact that I'm an admin of the LGBT group here. I've listed things on my page before, but it didn't seem to do much. I'm not complaining; I just put it there because I could. (I've updated my page too!) Still, for quite some time, I've just been 'Ice Star' and while I'm still Ice Star, I've seen people call me she, they, he, etc. For some reason, there's a pseudo-mystery to the gender of the person behind the pseudonym for those who aren't on Discord, where I'm a bit clearer with things. (Yes, I do realize it's a gender neutral one, too!) So, I guess I should finally say something about that...
I'm a transguy. I initially came out as non-binary and just kinda passed myself off as non-binary... but I suppose that's all I was doing. I'm a guy. No, I'm not the most masculine of guys, but I'm male. So. That kinda means I use, y'know, male pronouns. For a while they/them pronouns really used to bother me, even though they're applicable to everyone, not just non-binary folks. I was too used to being referred to as a kind of 'un-person' via those pronouns in my life, especially if I was in the same room as people who were doing that to me. Now, I don't really have a problem with them. I think. Y'all can use them too. Just... no more female ones? They're... getting really bad, I guess. Dysphoria is a bitch.
I'm not sure why people thought I was female, aside from if I ever said anything in the past. Did I come across as female? Was it because my avatar was female... on a site where most guys wrote about lady ponies and had a lady pony avatar, because that makes sense? Was it because they came to associated me with when I wrote Sombra presenting femme? That I actually wrote female POV characters that sounded female? Do douche trans guys naturally have some kind of unseen feminine flair? (I'd kinda be interested in knowing.)
I wonder why there's some people who've been associating me with just Sombra?

To be totally honest, I'd assumed you were female at first because the Cult for Ice Star group addressed you as such

Apart from that, I'm a bit puzzled that people would assume that--I've not had many people make assumptions for me openly, but when they do they almost always assume male
And your general demeanor in comments and stuff hasn't seemed, like, super-gendered, but if I had to guess going off of them, I'd probably have thought male. I guess the poetry and romance stories and stuff could maaaybe make people think female, but, like... I wouldn't take that to be a very definite indicator here, of all places.
I don't think I ever thought you were definitely cis, though.

Yeah, as I mentioned on my server it's a huge thing online and offline to equate 'trans' to just being MtF. Trans gals have a lot more visibility and all.

The group was made a while ago when I wasn't as out as I am now, and I never bothered to change it. Guilty me! That thing with the pronouns was a while ago, too. I've edited my page now, so you're not making it up.
