I won't really give gratitude for any faves on it, because I'd prefer this one to not have that much attention. But for whatever reason, people still want to read it.
So . . . there it is.
Yeah, I know. I freaked out. I felt bad. And I upset a lot of people. This story sucks, and it's not the masterpiece I was hoping for (even though I knew it wouldn't be). But I have to own it. It's not good. I have to accept that.
Sorry I took it away from you guys. I just feel like you deserve better from me.
I find it strange you allow people to get to ya. I have a story that has 2/5 and Its not stopping me from doing more of that story. Best thing to do is to take what you get move on and then keep it up.
I recently had a bunch of people kind of leave mean comments and downvote stuff on my derpibooru. I wrote about it in my blog here. So I know how it feels to have a lot of people leave negative feedback on things you have spent a lot of time creating. :(
I hope that things will get better for you soon, my friend. Just try to focus on all of the positive feedback you are receiving on this story and you other work as well as the friends who are supporting you/ lifting you up as you are going through this difficult time,
So, i will read the story because the concept is actually quite intriguing, and i do believe i won't regret that decision

Short version: I'd heard that Fame and Misfortune generalized and parodied the fans without representing us properly. I was upset for days. I still am. So I wrote this story thinking it would help.

Hmmm. I have to say i disagree as well. I view the episode more as the fandom getting acknowledged once more while also taking some friendly shots.
We were definitely parodiesed, but i see no ill-intent in it.

I did. They made us look like fools, and it wasn't fair. They also basically excused themselves from criticism by saying that it's not the point, and implied that we can't learn the lessons they think are so important. After three years of loving this show, that hurt. A lot.
All I wanted was to make people understand that. And I failed again.

The only people that get to me are family. But if it's someone I don't know, or someone I'll only see once in my life then I won't care. I work at a subway in this rich neighborhood full of uptight dickwads. I get yelled at least once every work week. Sometimes they piss me off but when they do I just remind myself that I won't ever remember what they look like in a couple weeks.

It's for the best if the discussion ends here. We all have mixed reactions to things, and all of us have different coping mechanisms. You and my friend, Lightning, deal with things differently. He expresses it through art. I assume you deal with it by talking about it. Or thinking about it from a logical honest perspective. Everyone can be hurt by things, and deal with it differently. I just want to back up my friend. I'm not trying to start a bigger fight. I'm just explaining, so he doesn't have to.
We all cant bat a thousand all the time- dont sweat it. I was just a touch upset that I couldnt read the story when it went up, so I'm glad its back up. It aint about whether or not the story is supposed to be great or not- I just like to enjoy them as they are. Even if this is supposedly the worst thing on the face of the planet, that just means you get to make something better the next time (Though I know you have some really good writing, so writing bad to begin with is unfathomable to me)
Closing Point: Dont worry so much. Even if people are gonna be asshats, you also have an equal or greater amount of friends that will back you up, me included. As always, I look forward to your next work
Did you please yourself when you wrote this story? As long as you didn't hurt anybody (and I'm fairly certain you didn't), then that's all that matters.
Lightning, after seeing your fight with Darthdarius below, personally I'm still saying you should take a sabbatical from FIMfic. Right now, it's only going to hurt you. Do something else for a change, your life doesn't have to revolve around a pony show and writing stories for it at every given moment. Not saying this to attack you, but trying to offer some helpful advice. I admit, I'm not your biggest fan at times, but and again, I'm not trying to attack you, but personally I think FIMfic isn't the best place for you right now. Step back, and take a breather.

I'm in the same boat as you buddy I've had to deal with some real assholes especially over the last month. For me it's worse because I'm making near minimum wage at a family entertainment place and having to deal with older kids is the worst. I once had to call my manager to kick out a group of teens three times in one weekend. Even when I'm off the clock people still bombard me because they know I work there.

I don't know what went on at the discord server, but from what I see in this blog and in the other one is just as everyone seems to be saying. It has nothing to do with your actions or your skill as a writer, you're just being trolled again. And all that you have to do is ignore them as best you can.
Internet is filled with trolls who like to troll people without reason. They want you to reply to them, so they can keep trolling you to no end. To ignore them and not to let them get at you is the way to proceed.
Also, you shouldn’t take things from a show of imaginary ponies with magic or from said show’s fanon works so personally. You shouldn’t let this make you so worked up and emotional.

Y'know, now that I actually watched that episode, I understand how its connected to your story. Hasbro takes down a lot of fanworks with C&Ds. Even works that generate zero profit whatsoever. Thanks, Hasbro. For criticizing us and not caring about us whatsoever.
